What a wonderful gem of a place. Came here for lunch but the breakfast sounded so good, I asked, and they made it specially for me! Whole family loved it. Great service from wonderful staff. Will certainly be returning.

On holiday nearby and another quick trip into Moffat to see what we could find in the way of good coffee and child-pleasing lunch.Ice cream milkshakes of vanilla, and most of all salted caramel and the oreo versions were favourites and drew comments from our table about how we must come back. Black Americano was divine - best coffee in town, so says the sign outside and indeed the best coffee I've had in a long while.Lunch-wise BLT panini and smoked salmon and scrambled egg on toast for the adults, plentiful tuna mayo on bloomer and tuna and cheddar panini for the kids -great value for money and the staff were incredible- child friendly, not too intrusive, respectful and were good enough to box/takeaway cup up stuff that bigger eyes than tummies could manage.Look no further- see you soon Ariete x

Called in for mid-morning coffee and it was pleasing to see the establishment was busy.Coffee was served quickly and was good, so no issues there.Recommended to pop in for a drink and/or snack if you are in the area.

Lovely food, We had the large breakfasts. But the good experience stops there. Staff not interested in tourists, all good if a local, one young boy member of staff seemed more interested in talking to the chef about the customers and what they're were eating whinin turn would come out and look, it was so obvious. It spoiled our experience of the place.

Love this place. We had Sunday breakfast there, one standard traditional breakfast and one mini traditional breakfast, both were excellent. Nicely cooked quality ingredients, not full of grease.

This little cafe is absolutely brilliant. We use it every time we go to Moffat on our way to Wales and to Gretna shopping outlet. The staff are amazing, very friendly and efficient. The food is really tasty. We have had quite a few dishes, and each one was fantastic. I would definitely recommend Cafe Ariete.

We had the big breakfast - sustained us all the way back to London. Perfectly cooked with good quality haggis, Lorne, bacon. Staff were friendly and very efficient in such a busy cafe.

Always stop here in Moffat for lunch on our travels through Scotland... they never ever disappoint to fill our bellies, this café is a family favourite that we always look forward to.Service is quick, staff are welcoming and recognise us every year, it's always busy but that's great for them as they deserve every good customer they get.I recommend the hot chocolate with cream.

Lovely place in the heart of Moffat! We were visiting on our way up to the Highlands and it was great seeing so many locals having breakfast and coffee there.Service was wonderful, the young lad who served us was super friendly and attentive, and even though they were quite busy he kept checking on us and everyone else to make sure everything was okay.We had the veggie breakfast (£9) and scrambled eggs with salmon (£9.90), all delicious and very generous portions. We were also pleasantly surprised with the coffee, barista-style, smooth and well poured - extra points for having oat milk!Overall, I highly recommend this place for breakfast or even just a stop for a nice coffee. For those travelling with pet companions, sadly they don’t allow dogs inside (that’s our only ‘but’!)
