PACK & SEND Edinburgh East

Professional service, I received shipped goods in 3 days. However the service was expensive as Pack and Send used DHL Courier Services to ship my son’s goods from Edinburgh. My only suggestion to Pack and Send is to give customers a few options of shipping (air or sea) with cost for the customer to choose from. For example, I was not in a rush to receive my goods, so my preference was minimum cost. DHL is obviously expensive. Notwithstanding, I am overall happy with the services.

I didn't use the service directly but after submitting the details of the large package I needed to send, someone gave me a call and after discussing my needs and deciding that pack & send wouldn't be my best option (due to cost/logistics), they very helpfully pointed me in the direction of someone who was able to help me - I really appreciated the help here as I was struggling to find someone who could help with this!

I was recommended Pack and send by Taylors auction rooms to post a number of lots i purchased there.The items were boxes of fragile antique glass photographic slides and I spoke to Gary there who reassured me they would be packed well and infill would be put in the boxes to stop the glass slides moving around. The price was expensive ( double what we normally pay ) but they were in the highlands and the service sounded like the standard we normally get / better.We received the slides1. the boxes were not wrapped as discussed.2. there was no side protection against impacts.3. No infill in the boxes so slides were free to move4. In one box only, extremely heavy 31kg.Basically they had put bubble wrap on the bottom of the box then put the boxes of slides in and the bubble on top. This is the worse packing I’ve ever experienced.I contacted Gary immediately on receipt ( 01/02/2022 ) who asked for photos, i send this along with my issues.As of the 4th i had no response then an email from a Hassan saying “ We hope that you have been pleased with the service you have received from us in respect of your recent shipment. “We have now gone through the slides and have about 50 that are damaged. Whilst i cannot 100% say this was due to their packing it is highly likely it contributed to the damage of a number of them.Avoid to avoid disappointment ... this is not the standard that pack and send should and do normally provide.

You are the best ! Great communication, super fast, and very reasonable shipping. Above everything else though, the items were packaged as well as I have ever seen and I have art shipped from all around the world on a weekly basis. I wish I could give 10 stars. I had a framed painting I needed to send from Scotland to Canada.the staff were helpful and very professional.The parcel was well packed and all documentation handled by Pack and Send. The parcel arrived at its destination within 5 days. Although the postage was eye watering expensive I was very happy with the service and would use them again.

PACK & SEND did a great job packing and delivering a very large framed poster from the highlands of Scotland down to London. Staff were very friendly. Would deffo recommend them.

Never used Pack and Send before but I needed a very fragile and large item collected, packed and sent on to me from an auction house. I contacted their Edinburgh branch and spoke to Garry who listened and adviced what I would need and the initial cost, he even looked up the item I had bought and strongly adviced to have a crate made as cardboard boxes do not bounce and this was the best recommendation I have ever had.To say I was nervous about going ahead was an understatement but I did and my lovely action find arrived safe and sound.The crate was made out of 12mm plywood and screwed together and protected my precious find completely. The packing was exceptional and who ever collected and packed my item definately deserves an extra dram this Xmas.I will not hesitate to use Pack and Send again and I thank you for everything.

Pack and send did a great job packaging and sending two antique glass windows to me in Vancouver. They’re fragile and flexible and they arrived safely and perfectly packaged. I was also very happy that they could pick them up in Edinburgh. Thank you!

Don’t use them! I bought a lovely small mahogany collector’s cabinet from a saleroom in Edinburgh and gave them the job of sending it to me in London. It arrived with all the corners severely damaged because they had just wrapped it in a bit of bubble wrap and black cling film. It has cost me £400 to have repaired. They are incompetent packers. Gary Neil is their devious manager who tried to deny any responsibility and stopped answering my calls. Never again!
