Coningsby Cat Care

First time we had ever tried this form of cat care whilst we went on holiday for a week and have to say, this worked like a dream! My cats are my life; and I started to lose the appeal of a particular cat hotel that I have been going to for years because of the increase in the kennels and dog breeding section; the constant barking noise made me fear for my dear felines sanity.Nigel came to our rescue! We met beforehand inviting Nigel over for a brew to meet our cats and us humans :-) The cats took to Nigel instantly. We had a chat about how/what kind of care I would like for my cats and we agreed on the amount of visitations. We started off with two visits a day and then towards the end of the period one visit. As this wasn't just for a matter of feeding, water change and cleaning of a litter tray (that our elderly cat likes to have the choice of) but also for reassurance, security and a little company whilst we are away.My cats have their freedom via the cat flap but they also love their comforts of home, checking in with us to say hi and have a cuddle before they go for a sleep or nip back out again; so it was this that I wanted for my furbabies, not just a case of food then leave and this is exactly what Nigel did for us. Stopped and had a brew with the guys so they could have some human-cat interaction each day so they didn't feel abandoned and it was obvious that Nigel is a cat person" because a cat always knows and can tell due to their trust and interaction they gave him.Nigel asked if I would like the occasional email photo and/or text whilst I was away to reassure me that all was good and I said yes please as that meant a lot to me and that's exactly what we did which allowed me to relax on my trip way safe in the knowledge that my cats are in safe hands in the comforts of their own homes.So we provided Nigel with spare key; left out cat food & treats and any particular instructions or requests. Told Nigel to help himself to the kettle and enjoy time in the garden with the company of my cats; which Nigel did and the cats most definitely enjoyed and appreciated Nigel's company whilst mum & dad were away (a cat mum always knows! :-)It was a nice set up and rapport all round and we would definitely contact Nigel again for his cat sitting services. Nigel was an absolute life saver as we were going on holiday and our cat sitter cancelled on us last minute. Nigel was very professional, friendly and very accomodating to our requests. He definitely has lots of experience around cats, he knew how to approach our very shy cat. He sent us updates and photos while we were away.Would highly recommend! Nigel is lovely and your cat is in safe hands with him.
