B&Q Darlington

Staff were sparse and things are expensive but probably the most extensive selection now that homebase is gone. Unfortunately no saw for cutting wood was available at the time but the staff were very helpful.

Got everything we needed and more and some really good bargains on the plants.

This place has become our favourite store, literally in here every other day. Its has everything you need, very neat & tiday, the place to go if you're renavating your house. Now the main part the staff... they are absolutely amazing very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Always a laugh to talk too and will go out there way to help. The staff deserve a pay rise here, top of the business stuff, thank you.

I would just like to say a special thanks to Peter, Mary & Laura at the Darlington Store (The Paint Desk).This evening my Husband and I were ‘those’ annoying customers who attended the store 10 minutes before closing time (apologies again). We were very pleased with service and help we received from Peter, who very kindly allowed us time to choose a colour of paint, and then mixed it for us, even though he was finished his shift. We are very grateful that you stayed to help us, despite the fact you had a lamb dinner waiting for you at home.Overall, we were highly satisfied with the service from all staff - who all had cheery faces (in particular Peter) - Thanks again. Our basement looks lovely in ‘Preference Red’.

Some helpful staff here that will go the extra mile.But then there's those that don't

It's a B&Q. Has slightly shoddy stuff at ok prices. Much better to visit in person than try and use the dreadful website. Now has people on the tills rather than self scan, which makes things a bit easier. Plants tend to be well cared for
