Very creative, inventive and passionate. An excellent designer who worked with our brief and developed ideas within the limitations of our factory and craftsmen while still pushing us to explore our potential abilities further, very professional and always smiling. If you’re looking to commission bespoke furniture objects or a unique statement piece then look no further - would highly recommend giving Steve/Sapien a call!

Wentworth Pewter were delighted to have collaborated with Sapien Studio for the Topian collection. It’s not everyday you see pewter and raw concrete working together as a sculptural form. The collection pushed our craftsmen to bring to life a truly unique contemporary design series using traditional metal-smithing skills that have been around for hundreds of years. Sapien is a fantastic boundary-pushing design studio, Steve was a real pleasure to work with from start to finish.

Site Gallery commissioned Sapien Studio to design and build our new shop interior space following our 2018 extension. We were looking for a bespoke contemporary design which would have its own character within the building whilst exemplifying Site's brand. The brief was constrained by budget and space and needed to accommodate storage as well as display our broad range of products. Steve worked closely with us through the design stage to ensure his interior architecture concepts were in line with our thinking. He worked quickly and efficiently and guided the decision making process to ensure our timescale and budget could be achieved. He is a creative, open minded, professional and calm person, with an infectious enthusiasm for design. He brought in talented fabricators and managed the build and installation excellently. Our shop is very much enjoyed by our visitors and we continue to receive really positive comments about all the bespoke furniture elements - plus turnover is significantly higher than our previous shop. I would highly recommend working with Sapien Studio.

We came to Sapien Studio for a bespoke design commission. The brief was for a unique and sustainable sculptural award trophy with an industrial feel. Steve was great to work with and created a design that met and surpassed our expectations. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to work with them again in the future!

I cannot recommend Sapien Studio highly enough if you are looking for a bespoke design commission! I have worked with the owner Steve for many years who is a brilliant character and great fun to work with. The first project was a limited edition piece of furniture that really did make a statement. I have also commissioned him for a piece of sculpture and every time the concept and execution has been excellent. Sapien blur the lines between art and design and I can guarantee you will walk away with a truly unique creation.
