Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground

An excellent venue. I've been to watch 20/20 cricket Eng v Pakistan and Live music concert, My Chemical Romance. What a great venue for a concert. Plenty of space, lots of facilities and well organised. Would highly recommend.

For the Hundred. Great fun, relaxed atmosphere, plenty of variety for drinks and food. The ever present massive queue for ladies toilets at sporting events and venues. Portaloos!

Nice venue shame about disabled accessibility for MCR. Lots of misunderstanding and missinformation.Staff going above and beyond to sort stuff out on the day. And went from 3 star to 4 based on how hard they were working to sort stuff out.

Beautiful cricket ground with a great atmosphere. One of our favourite places to watch cricket. You can get really up close with the players and get autographs before the game which is a highlight for the kids in particular. For England internationals it’s even better. Easy parking nearby.

Picturesque ground with good facilities and food. Home to Glamorgan county cricket club. Easily accessible by foot from Cardiff centre, via Sophia gardens and along the river Taft. 5 mins from coach station.

Witnessed my first World Cup Cricket match in Wales as England & Wales were hosting the cricket world cup from May to July 2019. This was the Afghanistan vs South Africa match, I had a great time here with my friends as we all went for a road trip from London. Met incredible people from Afghanistan and South African fans cheering for their respectful teams. Including some celebrities commentators and sports casters. Good selection of foods in the stadium concierge, but very pricey.I would suggest you buy food outside the stadium (i.e - Tesco, Sainsbury's, Chicken shop, FIsh & Chips shop etc) it's much cheaper. The parking cost £15 for a whole day, which is relatively cheap compared to London prices.

First time visiting and we were very welcomed by all the staff. Had the opportunity to meet the players due to the rain which was a lovely experience for the children. A very homely ground despite it's size.

Visited this venue to watch the MCR concert, despite the huge queues to enter, the cricket ground was actually very spacious once we entered, with lots of room at the back if you don't want to be in the crowds at the front! The sound quality wasn't the best, but it was still good enough to enjoy the concert! Overall a good venue, and nice on a sunny day.
