Beautiful synagogue with a fascinating history. If you can go on a tour (email the caretaker, Jerry), I highly, highly recommend it. Jerry's tour is incredibly interesting and well-researched, and gives an excellent overview of not only the history of Plymouth and the Jews who lived there, but Jewish life in England during different periods.If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit!

Plymouth Synagogue
Our Art Appreciation group from Lostwithiel U3A visited on Tuesday 11th July. We had a most enjoyable and informative tour by Jerry. His knowledge is amazing and the overview of the history of Plymouth was fascinating. We would certainly recommend a visit for anyone and children would be entertained and would enjoy the dressing up! Jerry is an interesting character and has carved out a brilliant life for himself. Plymouth is lucky to have such a man in their midst, who has saved an historic building. Thank you Jerry and we wish you and the wonderful Dexter, the cat, all happiness

Jerry gave us a very fascinating tour. We learnt a lot about Judaism, the workings of a synagogue, and the history of Plymouth. Very entertaining, a unique experience.

We took 12 beaver scouts wit 6 adults and wow what a trip we all learnt things and all of us were treated to a emersion experience. Jerry is so knowledgeable and captivating our 2 hor visit could have been longer we will be back thank you for this opportunity.

Such a great experience!If you are in Plymouth this is definitely and experience you wouldn’t want to miss out.Jerry is such a knowledgeable person and the amount of information he gives is incredible but never never never boring.Been there with a 12 years old and Jerry managed to have his attention at hold the time!
