Excellent little fishery well worth a visit

First time at sherwood fishery got there Paul was extremely helpful gave me brilliant advice were to fish and how to fish holmdale then later on came to see how I was doing what a fantastic day and well run fishery thanks can't wait to come back

Stopping on caravan site really nice and quiet, been told fishing is brill, but haven't fished for years, ill be coming back

Me and my son went yesterday the balif don't know his name charged us £5.00 for 1 and half hours and then proceeded to moan and complain while we were there.this has put us right off we will not be going back.the balif drives a blue 4×4 ruined our time. Avoid this place.

Great fishery and jam packed with fish. Carp in Cavendish are really good fighting and healthy because with it being a mainly silvers lake not many folk fish for em. Well worth a visit at £7 for 1 rod and £10 for 2. Holmedale lake is best for the carp but its too easy to catch em for me. If you want a challenge then go for the Cavendish. Method feeder over to the far bank anywhere along the lake is good, just try to get as close as u can tight up to the far bank and you cant go wrong. For the silvers go for corn, bread, maggots, castors or pellets andd you will bag up. No keepnets though which is a shame. Quality stamp of roach and skimmers and the odd perch. Get down there. Just ask the bailiff which pegs are fishing well and hes usually happy to help, well most of the time anyway.

Brilliant place to escape to! Been fishing there since I was around 12 years old... Cavendish is a favourite for me; plenty of fish of all types and great for floating bread in the evenings for some nice Carp. Going again tomorrow!!!!!
