We engaged AlphaRat to remove and lower the dials on our tower clockas part of the refurbishment of the 14th Century grade 1 listed church.At that time we were looking for a firm who would work safely and havethe skills to remove the dials which had been in place for decades,without damage either to them or the stonework. AlphaRat fitted thebill; they hold IRATA certification which assured us they werecompetent in rope access work and their manager, Piotr ( agraduate mechanical engineer ) had the mechanical competence.We were not disappointed and Piotr completed the job on time loweringthe three 5 foot diameter dials to the ground safely and withoutdamage. Subsequently, we used AlphaRat to carry out repairs to themasonry of the tower using their qualified abseiling stone mason. Thisculminated with the supply (carving) and fit of a replacement 30 kg stone louvre in the bell chamber 90 ft up; the result has received manypositive comments.To sum up, I have been extremely satisfied with AlphaRat's work. Whatis more, I have found Piotr business-like, straightforwardand pleasant to deal with; he always returned telephone calls/emails!
