I recently had surgery (Jan 2023) at The Christie. It was completely successful. What made it a great experience was the thoroughness, professionalism, compassion & understanding demonstrated by the team (led by Mr Aziz Gulamhusein) from pre-op through surgery & recovery to post-op follow-up.

No words can describe how grateful I am about Dr Gulamhusein. I've had a really bad experience with the first doctor at another hospital but Dr Gulamhusein from day one managed to make me feel secure. From our first appointment he explained everything, every little detail of my condition. He was always giving me the time to ask any question I could think and he was answering all of them. He has never let me feel fear, sadness or that something could go wrong. He was always so sure about what is going to happen so I have never had second thoughts. He made my family and me feel that his concern was to offer us a normal life after this sad situation we've been through. He assessed my condition and decided to take a risk just to make my life easier. After a difficult operation he managed to do what was impossible for 4 other doctors who had seen me before him. It feels so good when you realise that there are great Doctors who respect you. Because what makes a good doctor is his ability to be a human first. And Dr Gulamhusein is definitely one of them. I highly recommend him for his ability, skills and professionalism, but first of all his willingness to assist you by any means.

An exceptional and positive experience with Mr Gulamhusein. He ensured I felt like a person, a human being and not a condition, I have never experienced care and follow up care like it. Mr Aziz Gulamhusein is an excellent Consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon - he really is one of the best. He is kind, patient, understanding, knowledgeable and accommodating. My brother was experiencing a urological issue and he was able to see him the same day we enquired, which is fantastic. He reassured him and, with his expertise, put him at ease. He is due to have a procedure under his care shortly and this is extremely reassuring as I trust he will take good care of him. He really cares about his patients and is clearly very passionate about what he does. I have recently had to seek advice about my own urological issue, and he really helped and advised me. I would 100% recommend Mr Gulamhusein to anyone experiencing any urological issues and will be seeking advice from him again if I have any of my own.

Aziz Gulamhusein is a compassionate and reassuring consultant who cares about you on a very personal level.I saw him over a number of months and I always looked forward to meeting with him. He is kind, attentive, extremely professional and highly intelligent.I would have no doubt recommending Mr Gulamhusein to anyone with a urological issue. This was my first experience of any kind of surgery and I thought I'd be nervous, however after my consultation with Mr Ramani and Jen Bristow I knew I was in good hands. All the staff I encountered at HCA, Christies were excellent too.

Mr. Gulamhusein review.Mr. Gulamhusein is undoubtedly an extremely talented Doctor/Surgeon. His obvious expertise in the Urological field is unquestionable.What, in my opinion, makes Mr Gulamhusein unique is his genuine compassion and attentive manner towards his patients.His compassion is at an all new level something I have never experienced previously. He scrupulously explains every stage from both pre and post operative diagnosis, procedure options, balancing potential risks involved with the various procedures.Mr Gulamhusein's dedication, in my opinion, clearly goes far beyond general expectations even down to making direct phone calls whilst on vacation. My family and I will be forever indebted to him.

I cannot fault the care and service I received at HCA (urology) in Manchester. After feeling abandoned by the NHS at the tail end of the pandemic, the speed at which I saw the excellent consultant, was booked in and treated saved much anxiety. Whilst I was there the level of staffing and their kindness and helpfulness was superb. I must also call out that the food choice and quality was outstanding and the rooms clean and comfortable - just what you need when recovering. I highly recommend the service if you find yourself in the unfortunate position of needing an operation.
