Steep (ish) climb but the views make it all worth while. Cold water swimmers were making the most of the lake & beautiful day, pack a picnic & unwind!!

There were some folks swimming here when I walked past. I’m not sure I’d swim here though given the number of tourists trekking on the mountainside above.

All the times I've walked up to pen y fan and I've never been here until recently, what a peaceful place. It's so quiet and tranquil.The water is surprising warm and full of wildlife, although it's stated that it's a swimming lake I personally wouldn't agree with that as it's full of leaches.As with the whole pen y fan experience there isn't any bins around the lake so if you stop here be sure to take your rubbish away with you and keep this looking like the beautiful place it is.

Amazingly beautiful. We did the 14 miles walk around the Valley. 3 summits. 7 hours hard but amazing.

Iconic local locationThis is simply a superb rest stop on your way up to Pen Y Fan or on your way down. Easily accessible from Nant Cwm Llwch car park which is known locally as the login. Lovely views of PYF from here and is a great bivvy site too. A popular swim stop too in the warmer weather.

Just had a quick winter dip here before hiking up to the summit, wicked swim spot. There are slippery rocks in the shallows and it drops steeply into the deep a few metres in but otherwise lush.

Mindblowingly beautiful. Totally stunning. A proper relaxed area with an even more relaxed farmer. I'll be back for more of this very soon. I need to stay much longer.
