Golden Kitchen

Loved this place. Until. Four weeks ago we were delivered vegetable curry without the rice. Sweet and sour king prawn balls without the sauce!!!! I called and explained and they said they would deliver straight away. I mentioned not to bother with the rice as I had used a packet. Thirty minutes later the sweet and sour sauce was delivered along with boiled rice and more spring rolls!!!!. Ok, so we gave them another chance and ordered again today. My husband had a curry. Quite spicy. I had a special chow mein.!! Plenty of noodles. two king prawns, two mushroom halves. a little bit of onion. three tiny bits of green pepper and squares of dry chicken and stringy meat of some sort all served in a tasteless watery liquid. What has happened to this place it used to be so so good.!!

Incredible food! Spring rolls were delicious, delivery was on time and everything was hot! will be back again and again and again!

It USED to be a really good Chinese takeaway. Not sure what happened, but the last few times we went there the food has been way below the usual standard.Lastly, the food has been dry, hard with zero taste whatsoever. Hate saying that as it was a place I really liked, but I honestly cannot recommend it to anybody now.

I feel 1 star is too many after the service we had tonight. Ordered at 5.30 by phone was told half an hour to 40 mins for delivery. Over an hour later we phone to say still no food. The lady on the phone says 10 more mins as there is bad traffic (he only has to drive down 2 roads ) so we wait a further 20mins before cancelling the order. Another 5 mins later the food comes. We tell the driver we cancelled the order as its been an hour and a half. He simple says 'has it' ok' and walks off. Not bothered at all. No apology etc. Will not be using this Chinese again shame really as the food is good.

Very good Chinese/Cantonese takeaway, with on street parking rifgt outside.I found it via Google reviews, whilst working in the area.Reasonable price, good size portions & chips to die for..I chose chicken curry with chips, Thai style chicken chilli & banana Fritters.All was freshly cooked, hot & tasty.

I’ve had many Chinese Takeaways over many years but must say that this evening’s first visit to Golden Kitchen was amazing. The efficient, friendly service culminated in me and my family enjoying the best meal selection that I can remember. The free pancake rolls and prawn crackers were a delightful bonus. I will definitely return for more and can only recommend the food here, as the best I’ve had for a long, long time! Sincere thanks to all at the Golden Kitchen!

Usually the best Chinese food in Coventry, but our home delivery on Friday was not up to usual standards.The problem was with the quality of the duck in the two Duck Curries.It was 90% gristle / scraps / fat.Disappointed.Hope our next one is back upto the Usually high standard that we are used to.

Excellent experience all round. Very friendly and helpful receptionist, delivery driver was excellent too, not just for arriving after only about 15 minutes but was also very pleasant.Very nice food, and not bad value. Worth calling rather than using apps etc.Recommend: sweet and sour chicken, special fried rice, crispy beef Cantonese style.

Best takeaway ever and we've tried lots of places in Coventry. Excellent prices. We pay £14.60 for Beef curry and we can choose either chips or egg fried rice that comes with it. 1 portion of chilli, salt and pepper ribs that are large and lots of meat on them. And also free prawn crackers with delivery. The lady who answers the phone is always very pleasant and has got to know who I am. The delivery driver is an Asian guy who is very pleasant. They have never got my address wrong, not like some places. I would highly recommend their food and they are very quick at delivering.

Brilliant Chinese takeaway, my favourite in the city. Food always cooked to perfection and always arrives quickly and promptly. Friendly staff too, you can't really ask for more.Highly recommend Happy Family, anything Salt and Pepper, Sweet and Sour, and the dim sum collection.
