John Willmott School

I went to his school for five years I left last September due to the lack of care for the students, the bullying that goes on there and how rude the teachers are. They do not do anything about the bullying. It is full of chavs and uneducated teachers. It is the worst school anyone could ever go to.

The children don’t come first school policy comes first the school is run like a dictatorship imagine a school where the teachers are the bully’s do not send your kids

Went here twenty years ago was bullied by certain members of staff. I have now been following progress of school for some time. Disgraceful ofsted report now improving slowly under new headteacher and board of governors which was desperately needed. I would not recommend this school to any young person even now, they failed to do anything about the bullying.

Just finished at John willmott and it was like one rule of one student and one rule for another because I got told of for wearing trainers and other students didn’t and the way that some teacher handle certain situations with pupils

My child started in sept this year having not got into closer Sutton schools. Very happy with standard of teaching. Children are stretched academically and there is a great focus on wellbeing. My child feels safe and there is a good range of extra curricular activities too. Thank you to all the staff there for a great experience so far.

Best teacher they had was bullied out. Pupils aren’t bad but teachers are bullies and SLT even worse. Cannot keep staff. They lie, they manipulate results they should be shut down

Despite the purported recent improvements, one core problem hasn't changed - that the teachers in this school are the real bullies. I as a parent have experienced this from them first-hand. They would be lenient to extremely ill-behaved children on the one hand, and will be so hard-handed on soft kids for minor misdemeanours on the other. Without proper management of bad behaviour and without compassion, I am not hopeful of much good coming out of all the sweeping changes they are making at the moment. Without addressing the core problem (that the majority of the older teachers are rude and incompetent), cosmetic changes like uniform colour and the school name will be of little gain.
