Adelphi Portrush

Disappointing. Absolutely shocking service - complete lack of interest from the staff, after we received our food we didn't see them again for the rest of our visit - they didn't even clear our plates, nor those of tables nearby. Not even so much as a cursory thank you or goodbye when we left. Food is fine but severely overpriced for what you get - paid £13 for a basic tomato pasta with a random assortment of veg (certainly not 'Mediterranean' as the menu described). Drinks are similarly expensive.

What a lovely hotel.A small hotel set in the centre of Portrush but very understated.The staff on my arrival and throughout our stay were friendly and efficient.The room was a good size and exceptionally clean. Well presented and laid out.Breakfast was of a high quality and catered for most tastes.Attention to detail is important and not lacking in this hotel with a weather forecast posted in the lift for four days ahead and even hotel umbrellas inside the main entrance to be borrowed by residents if needed.Granted some may find the decor and furnishings a little dated, but we liked it and definatly want to stay again.Good staff reflect the quality of your stay , and from receptionist, to bar staff, waitresses, night porter, and domestics our stay was made to feel special.Hopefully in the future to planned renovation will not dilute the charm of this lovely hotel.

My partner and I were having a great weekend until at midnight we got a knock on the door by a man asking us to stop smoking (we don't smoke) I confronted the man and he then threatened to throw us out in the middle of the night not very professionalThe jacuzzi doesn't open until 3pmNo point

Myself and some family members recently had the pleasure of staying in Portrush and on one night we dined in the Adelphi Bistro. There was a party of 11 ranging in ages from 9 to mid fifties and we were all very pleased with our night out.We chose the Adelphi due to the fact that they can make almost the entire menu Gluten free if required and this was a requirement for some of the party.Although our booking was not too far away from restaurant closing time on Sunday 18th June, from the moment we went in, we were greeted with a broad smile (many thanks to Renee for her excellent service through the evening) and an attentive host for the night.The menu was reduced slightly due to party size but everyone was very pleased with what they had to eat and drink. I hope to have the pleasure of going back to Portrush and sampling some more of the hospitality here.Best of luck with your Summer trade.David.

Location is excellent!Rooms are clean and well laid out!Breakfast is very good and while the choice is slightly limited the food was spot on!

Food and service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. Have been a few times now and will definitely return.

Book into the restaurant for a meal for 3. Service not good at all. 3 times had to ask for are drinks to come down, then ask for water with are meal, got the water with no glass, had to ask again for them, not good,,, got 2 special chilli beef an 1soilon steak, , steak was good, but chilli beef was a no......was very disappointed was ther 2 days before which was good that's why we returned -( booking under neely

How this place could claim 4 star hotel is laughable. It's outdated decor and furniture are in the 2 star range. Beds uncomfortable very cheap linens and the pillows are so bad I didnt sleep a wink. The staff however absolutely lovely. Still in would never stay there again.

We were very disappointed with our rooms , they were nothing close to the pictures on their website . Our room was old with wood beams that appeared to be part of a structural repair to keep the building from collapsing . We had lots of trouble with the electrical breakers tripping when trying to use the coffee machine . there is also no parking available on site , I had to park blocks away at a construction site , the get up at 6:00 am to move the vehicle so it wasn't impeding the workers in the morning . The staff were rather cold other than the bistro staff who were very nice ! This Hotel boasts that it is a luxury 4 star which in my opinion it is not . I answered their survey which i have had no response from . BEWARE ! The photos below are of the room I stayed in , the last photo is from the website misleading you to believe your room is beautiful and freshly decorated . Our stay was August 9 2023 .

Poor lunch yesterday. Never again. Strips of onions on roasted chicken dish saturated with salt and I mean salt. Does the chef never taste any of his food. Just terrible and the McAtamneys burger was tasteless as my husband stated. It is only a name. I have had a lot better. John and Jean Watt
