This experience has been very versatile for me and helped me gain lots of new skills outside of my course. Working in a friendly and colourful environment is exciting and makes working more pleasurable and stress free. I have especially enjoyed being so involved with all the stages of production and feeling like a valuable member of the team.I strongly recommend this internship if you want to become a master at crochet!

I was the knitwear intern at KIORI Studio during 2020 and have never had a more caring, wise and positive boss as Maritta in the industry! The level of skill and determination to create her own collection alongside commissioned pieces for other fashion brands was so inspiring and proof you can be a successful small independent designer while having an ethical and sustainable approach!I learned so much from the company and Maritta which helped prep me for my Masters at Royal College of Art to continue my studies of knit.

I have loved how hands on my internship at Kiori Studio was and I really felt I was given a lot of responsibility. Throughout my time, I was able to work on a large variety of projects which allowed me to develop and learn many new skills as well as giving me a good insight into the industry. For over last few months, I have worked with KIORI studio and they have been excellent. They created a great logo for my fashion company and gave me great advice along the way which will help me in the industry I am striving to enter. Throughout those months, they helped me with the sketches and the information that I was unware of at the time. The logo was created at a very high quality and I am very grateful. I would definitely highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for designs and advice on the fashion industry.

I loved my experience as an intern at KIORI Studio, Maritta and Shota really made me feel part of the KIORI family.I have never felt so empowered and supported in a working environment. Maritta was not only an amazing boss, but role model too. She nurtured my embroidery and pattern cutting skills, whilst working on commissioned pieces and her own collection - the dedication to her craft was so inspiring to watch as a first year fashion design student at the time.I learnt so much from my experience at KIORI Studio and I look forward to seeing what they produce in the future.
