Lead The Pack Dog Training

Elliot helped us with a series of sessions for our dog Pelly between the age of 3-5 months. We didn't know where to start with the training and Elliot was very helpful, listening to our needs and helping us work on tactics to nurture a happy and well-behaved dog. You have to work hard and persevere with the training but Elliot gave us the tools we need, starting with simple commands like sit and lay down, to more complicated training like loose lead walking. We definitely recommend Elliot as a guide through the early months of puppy training.

I have been trying to get help for my rescue dog with her reactivity since I adopted her almost a year ago. Elliot was kind enough to actually meet in person at our home and walk out with us so that he could observe what was going on. He quickly trained her to walk to heel and to look up to him for guidance instead of reacting. Before I knew it she was doing the same with me! I cannot thank Elliot enough as this will make our walks far more relaxed and pleasurable.

Elliot had Ella walking by his side without pulling within 30 minutes.Very impressive as she was fighting him all the way for the first 25 minutes.She also walked nicely and without pulling when I walked her. First session today, I have a 2 year old Mali and Elliot was so patient with her. Our first session was for 2 hours and started with loose lead walking and went all the way through to getting her to interact with another dog. She normally Lunges, barks, pulls etc but with what Elliott showed me to do we managed to get the two dogs interacting and playing together off the lead.I can't recommend Lead The Pack Dog Training enough, Great value for money, a patient trainer and helps in anyway he can. Fantastic training for ourselves and our little Suki today from Elliott.Within 20 mins he had her not pulling on the lead and responding to him, even amongst the traffic noise. When walking in the town he showed us how to correct her when reacting to other dogs.Even a flock of seagulls landing close by didn't make her react. Just had a training session with Elliot. I would really recommend him if you're having any issues with your dog. He is very informative with every question I had. Within the session I had my dog walking by my side With the tips and tricks Elliot has taught me so now can go onto the next chapter of our rescued pooch.Once again just a massive thank you to Elliott.

I adopted an 8 year old Labrador about 10 weeks ago. I knew very little about his lifestyle etc, but he pulled strongly on the lead and had dog distraction whilst out and about. I didn’t enjoy our walks! Elliot had him walking beautifully within our first hour. Other issues Elliot sorted out; excessive excitement when the doorbell rang, and excitement in cafes. We had an outing on the bus into Kendal with cafe visits, which has given me confidence.We had three, two hour sessions, which was plenty for our needs.Elliot has a very balanced approach to training. He showed me how to be “in charge”, with lots of sensible tips.Now I can look forward to happy relaxed times with Teddy. Thanks!

My daughter and I took our 12 week old puppy along to a Puppy Socialisation class with Elliot today. It was fabulous! Pepper learnt to be comfortable around other puppies and he showed us how to get Pepper to walk to heal especially around the other puppies. Having previously no recall at all (she used to run away like it was a game lol), she now comes to us when we call her! Elliot is knowledgeable, a lovely chap and would definitely recommend him for all types of dog training. Thank you!

We are dog sitting for our daughter dog Charlie and have no previous experience of dog walking. After a 2 hours session working with Elliot who gave us the skills to enjoy a leisurely walk in control instead of Charlie walking us. Many thanks

Elliott was calm and clear with his instruction, which was reassuring for Nellie our dog, for us as a family and our confidence.After the very first session we noticed a difference in her behaviours. Three lessons in and we have nothing but positive feedback and comments.We enjoyed doing the lessons as a family, it was fun and always engaging.The skills Elliot gave us will need to be maintained, but are practical to apply, with lots of hints and tips from lead holding, to tone of voice, hand positions, distraction techniques and how to manage varying situations.If you are considering dog training we would highly recommend Lead The Pack dog training.
