Doug Holloway Garden & Landscape Design

We have had our front and back garden recently designed and landscaped by Doug. We chose Doug to design the garden for us because his passion and his wealth of experience. The whole process from start to finish was excellent and his team were highly professional, courteous and clean as well as civilised! We ended up with a truly splendid and unique garden that is going to give us tremendous pleasure for years to come! I could not recommend Doug and his team highly enough for bespoke garden design and build.

We have used Doug & he has designed and, basically, made our garden into a very lovely place! We employed Doug to design our brand new garden and we are so very pleased with the result. Doug and his team did a fabulous job with our garden. The design suggestions took a very idiosyncratic space and turned it into a lovely outdoor area. While we could not implement the full design, the bits that the team did create have really connected the outdoor spaces with the house and given us a garden that we love to spend time in.Doug and his team are very organised, meticulous and clearly take pride in achieving the best outcome possible for the customer. Doug produced a design that turned our very ordinary townhouse garden into a peaceful, contemporary space. His team did a fabulous job, consulting us as the project progressed, and delivered on time, They were very attentive to detail. We have enjoyed watching the garden evolve as the season has developed, particularly the return of wildlife drawn to a lovely selection of plants.We strongly recommend him.

Doug, Steve, and Sam did a wonderful job on our garden, in particular building a fantastic garden shed which looks like it will be in use for decades to come. We had a big garden re-design project and Doug and his team did a brilliant job. Doug was incredibly creative in designing and making a new outdoor space for us which has surpassed expectations and that we are delighted with. It was a big project but was delivered on time and in budget. His team were great guys and very considerate during the 10 weeks of work. Highly recommended.

'Doug completed a design for our garden and planted the space early 2021. We wanted drought resistant planting and Doug created a colourful and vivid scheme that flowered from spring to autumn. It’s a lovely mixture of yellows, ochre’s and blues with occasionally dots of bright colour. The grasses catching the light and the breeze are particularly beautiful. Doug sourced high quality plants, we were very pleased when they arrived and he positioned them and planted the space. The soil was very sandy and he improved it with an excellent organic manure that has transformed the beds. He has stayed in contact to consult with us about any questions we had and advised us on the maintenance. An excellent service.

How do you choose a garden designer who understands what you want? I went with my gut and was so glad I did.I enjoyed working with Doug and his team who were all professional from the first meeting. The whole project, from finding Doug to the downing tools ran like clockwork, bang on schedule and all cleaned up and tidy at the end. 5 star at every stage: communication, a variety of suggestions for what compromises could be done with my vision yet within my budget, planting plan, scheduling, the work itself and payment. The whole team were delightful, considerate, thoughtful and friendly at every step along the way. My feeling is that the project went way beyond what I thought I was getting and I would be happy to recommend (and already have) Doug's skill and experience to anyone. His enthusiasm was truly infectious and I now have a much better garden than the one of my dreams with year round planting!
