I could have spent the whole day here and was sorry I couldn’t. I took time to wander off the beaten track through the moor and into bog. Marvelled at the wild flowers now growing there peacefully and sat and ate blackberries while thinking of all the hundreds of poor sods (mostly kids) who were slaughtered here. It was a somewhat spiritual experience for me. This is somewhere everyone should go when in Scotland.

Discover the true story of the 1745 Rising, from both the Jacobite and Government perspectives, in the museum, where weapons and unique artifacts are displayed. Also, panoramic views from the roof garden, see the restored 18th-century Leanach Cottage and spot Highland cows grazing on the battlefield. The heather is blooming in the field which is beautiful!

The guided tours are brilliant and recommended. There's an eerie feel to the place. So many lives lost believing in their cause on both sides. To walk past the grave sites and the stones with the clan names was a humbling experience.Well worth the visit.

Impressive welcome centre with a range of visual and vocal explaining of what happened with background. I was able to gain access to the museum and battlefield for me and a guest with my National Trust card. The guide James on the battlefield was very good.

It's a must do and well worth the drive. The indoor visitor center was well laid-out & the battlefield is flat with very walkable paths. The guided battlefield tour is only 40min.

We visited this location and it was a great experience! Large walking path with stones erected to give facts about the battle. There is also a gift store and place to eat. Thank you, Culloden Battlefield!

Great place to visit, such a surreal feeling when walking around as the whole area is a mass grave site, Lots of information posted around. The views are stunning. Highly recommend taking your time walking around. Cafe is also good pricing we only got coffees.

Was a bit disappointed entry to the museum was £11 per adult, seemed a bit pricey to me. The views on the trail were stunning and it's worth a trip. £2 for 2hrs of parking in the car park.

I didn't think we would spend long here but we ended up being here for a few hours. We walked, we did a tour, and walked through the museum. The gift shop had some great items as well. I'd say it's worth the trip, just make sure you wear layers in the event it's hekkin windy. Though the gift shop does have items in case you didn't layer up.

Be prepared to walk. The gift shop is lovely, the staff are kind and helpful. It's windy and chilly. The battlefield is solemn and contemplative. It is, after all, a mass grave. Take a map from the visitors center. It helps you to figure out what you're looking at.
