Old Man of Storr
The route starts from the car park just along the road. The path is clearly visible and quite steep at times. In case of rain you have to be careful especially on the descent. The most famous viewpoint can be reached in about 1 hour, from where you can admire one of the most beautiful views of the entire Isle of Skye.

Old Man of Storr
The first time we climbed we barely made it halfway: we kept being blown off our feet (literally) and absolutely pelted with rain that was practically horizontal due to the 40km/h winds. We were thus DETERMINED to finish this hike if ever we came back again. And boy, was our second visit to The Old Man of Storr in the Highland region an awe-inspiring adventure that exceeded all expectations. The iconic landscape, with its towering rock pinnacles and panoramic vistas, left us utterly spellbound. The hike up was challenging yet immensely rewarding. It took us, a pair of fat, unfit hikers, nearly 3 hours from the carpark all the way up and then back down, with lots of breaks in between. Would advise beginner hikers to proceed with caution, and be well-equipped with at least the proper hiking attire and boots when climbing here. The rugged terrain, lush greenery, and the ever-changing weather made it a true Highland experience. At the summit, the views were simply breathtaking, offering a unique perspective of the Isle of Skye that's nothing short of magical. The sense of serenity and tranquility up there was palpable (if you can ignore the few drones flying around there). It's a place where you can truly connect with nature and lose yourself in the beauty of the Scottish Highlands. The sense of history and legend that surrounds this location adds to its charm. I was captivated by the stories and folklore shared by fellow hikers and local guides.Truly feels like a slice of heaven on earth, and an absolute must-visit for an unforgettable journey in Skye. It always tops the list of places to visit whenever we come to Scotland.

Incredible hike to a viewpoint overlooking The Old Man of Storr. Fairly easy, depending on your skills and abilities in the mountains. There are several other trail options here that give you the ability to add lots of time and mileage to the hike. Very windy at the lookout point which only adds to how cool the experience is!

Coming off Storr along the Skye Trail the weather had been awful, but seeing the Old Man come into misty view was truly amazing. Almost a spooky scene! The track to the Old man from the top is pretty straightforward but a rough dirt track. This then changes to a cared for tourist track made from rock so it’s steps all the way to the Carpark. Not great for the knees but the descent happens quickly.Fantastic views and well worth doing!

Very nice hike. The view was stunning and. It took me about an hour and thirty minutes to get up and down, but you could probably do it faster than that. There were a lot of people there, but they don't really get in the way when you are walking. It was absolutely worth the time, and a great place to stop by.

What a stunning view after a nice hike! For me it was one of those life changing moments. When you stand on the top and realize we are just a small blip of time in the grand scheme of life.

A simply amazing spot that must be visited if you are in Skye. The hike from the car park to the highest point of view and back takes about 2 hours in total, it is a bit demanding (medium difficulty if you're used to hiking) but the view from the very top is really impressive and absolutely worth the efforto

The Old Man of Storr is like a huge, cool rock formation on the Isle of Skye. It's a bit like a famous landmark there. You can take a nice walk to see it, and the view from the top is really amazing. If you're into nature and awesome sights, you should definitely go see it. Just make sure to bring you hiking shoes and weather proof clothing. When it's windy and rainy, you definitely need them. Parking your car costs money.

An absolute must do while in Scotland. We hiked up with a skilled mountaineer. I have to admit it was a tough hike for me, straight up the steep incline and it was really cold and wet. I was so amazed when we reached the summit. Old Man of Stor offers such a great view, it was a sea of green landscape.
