The Farm at Avebury

We had a fantastic stay here for 4 days with my young son. The Farm at Avebury is perfect for young children who want to experience farm life on a working farm. We loved the baby lambs in the playground orchard, and the relaxing long walks. We also loved the proximity to Avebury stones, and to Marlborough. A really beautiful area to explore. The accommodation is as pictured- very user friendly and well designed. Rob and staff are all super friendly and helpful. We would definitely return and also recommend this to friends.

We had a magical 5 days at The Farm. We were visiting family from Singapore and needed a neutral place to all stay for all different family members, some with kids, grandparents etc. We all had own own beautiful space, but also the perks of all eating and hanging out together in the stunning converted stables and communal courtyard. The kids had the best time, with a playground and animals around the farm to visit. There were some beautiful walks and also lovely spots to eat. I would highly recommend some of the farms produce too, the best bacon in the UK! Looking forward to visiting again, next time we are back! Thank you Alice & Rob for being such wonderful and accommodating hosts, you provided everything we could ever asked for! It is certainly home away from home.

We had a fantastic time staying at Avebury Farm and will deffo return.Everyone was so friendly and attentive, the location is brilliant and the welcome/ information emails and general communication was very helpful and made our stay more at ease.The produce provided was of a very high standard and we enjoyed our late bbq.My only criticism would be that the kitchen & living space was very small for four adults and we may have struggled if we had small children.If you are thinking of visiting the area I would strongly recommend The Avebury Farm.

We stayed for 4 nights over half term and had an amazing time! The accommodation, whilst compact, is so well done and well equipped (cot, and high hair provided for our little one) and the kids absolutely loved their contact with the animals on the farm (the highlight was feeding the lambs), the play barn and playground area. Some great recommendations for things to do in the local area and places to eat made our holiday stress free and great fun. Alice and Rob were wonderful hosts and really responsive. Would highly recommend a stay at the farm.

Our family group of 4 had the pleasure of staying at the Farm at Avebury in May 2023. What a wonderful experience it was! The accommodations were fabulous- attention was given to every detail! The unit itself (Long Barrow) had everything we could have wished for - plus there was a lovely courtyard with beautiful gardens where we could sit and relax, eat a meal or whatever. The Farm provided the basics for a lovely breakfast - milk, fresh baked bread and farm butter and apple juice, to which we were able add an order of their wonderful bacon. The proximity to a nearby pub and to various walks (detailed maps provided) in Avebury and its environs made it a great location to be.While we were only able to stay 2 nights the memories of our stay will last a lifetime. Of particular note was the assistance given by Rob on our departure day when our cab to the train station failed us! We would highly recommend a stay at the Farm at Avebury!

We loved our time at the Farm: all the sites were in walking distance and we found the repurposed stables offered comfort and relaxation. The courtyard was lovely at night: it was beautiful to sit under the stars and take in the scents of the flowers. As has been mentioned in other reviews, climbing the loft stairs offers a healthy upper body and leg workout - but worth it to access the comfy bed! Jasmine loved exploring the sights, smells and sounds of the farmyard too.

Fabulous stay with my mother and three young children. We felt extremely welcome, enjoyed their delicious produce, followed their fantastic recommendations for things to do; local walks etc. we fed the piglets every day with our scraps, made use of the play barn ride on tractors, bouncy castle and playground. My son even got a ride on the tractor and gator! Loved it and booked to come back!

We had a great stay at The Farm in October 2023. The team made us feel very welcome. We were taking our first trip away from home with our almost one year old baby and everything was thoughtfully provided including a travel cot, nappy bin and high chair. In addition to the great facilities for families on site (eg farm animals and a playground) the team provided excellent age appropriate recommendations for local attractions and activities. There was also farm produce available to purchase which was delicious. The shared outdoor area was pretty and I imagine the stables would be a pleasant place to stay and hang out for groups or couples as well.

Such a wonderful place to stay and get away from the hustle and bustle. The lodges are small but perfectly formed and have everything you could want :) We also ordered some produce from the farm which was waiting on arrival for us and was absolutely delicious. The fact that it's dog friendly is an added bonus. We're already planning when we can come back!
