I went to the surgery for help with patient access and was told to come back and see someone else else even though I was told to see this person. Most of the reception staff are very unhelpful and rude. No good complaining to the manager as as she sticks up for them. The reception staff think they run the place

I have been referred to this clinic by my GP, to get a fertility treatment. All my fertility investigations came back fine, but the doctor here shocked me with her attitude saying that i need more tests (which i had done previously and had to repeat), and IF i had a low egg reserve there is no point having any treatment and she didn't wanted to go ahead. I am only 35 years old and my egg count was absolutely fine according to all the tests I've done, she just couldn't be bothered in my opinion. An absolute joke of a fertility clinic! I would advise to stay far away from this clinic!

Impossible to see a doctor unless you are at deaths door and then you will be told to go to hospital. I have seen a doctor from this surgery approx 5 times in the past 7 or 8 years so I have cost them very little in time or medication but at a time when I put my shoulder out and was in extreme pain I was forced to pay privately for a cortisone injection I wish I could change to a surgery where I would feel confident i would receive help when needed and valued as a human being not a nuisance. Oh if only I lived in smallfield where my friend lives now that's a doctors surgery that understands patients. Unfortunately I am stuck with a fg postcode and have no choice.

We have been with this surgery over fifty years, in fact we put off moving from the area because of the care we received. The doctors are second to none, the nurses and receptionists are also excellent. We have never felt rushed, although the doctors have such a massive workload. They are always prompt with referral to Hospital or surgeon when necessary, which in our case has been often! I don’t think we would be here today if it was not for these incredible doctors and staff. We would give six stars if we could.

Worst place to get appointments, called them to book a medical, get told someone will call me within the week to book the appointment! Why can’t I book it straight away? and when they try to give me an appointment it’s for a month away. Very rude staff unprofessional

It's exhausting getting a face to face appointment, no same day appointments if they don't deem you to be a medical emergency. Isn't 999 for medical emergencies? Limited specialist services. No womens health clinics. Old fashioned and bureaucratic.

In my experience every time dealing with the reception at FG surgery is a challenge. And had to ask surgery manager to resolve staff conduct in the past. On recent occasion I have not been given an online access for almost a year and due to developing need called them up to rectify it. The lady on the phone who sounded in the know promised to send an email just after our call but I haven't received it . I called up next day to see what is going on with that email. Instead of looking into and resolving the issue the receptionist kept trying to get me off the phone and said that I will have to call about the same on Thursday. It will the the 4th attempt to gain the access to services. I have left 2 stars not 1, because they do pick up phones. It would be much greater to feel cared and attended by FG surgery personnel when the do. The concerns of the very similar nature have been risen by me with the manager Ruth James-Morse over a couple of years ago, but the improvements in patients care and efficiency are still under way.

Apart from Dr weden and another one i dont know the name sorry for spelling.The doctors dont want to help and only for 1 thing so you have to choose what important.. but what if all the problems are down to all the problems not just one lol this surgery chooses what an emergency lol so if things go really wrong don't bother the surgery go a&e and then get told you should of call the doctor lol when calling they dont want to help so where does a patient go????I think this why hospital are overwhelmed due to GP that pick whats an emergency and what illness u can be treated but only one per appointment as if people have spare time to go gp all because you couldnt see the patient in the 15 min appointment. Well if you use the whole 15min on the patient not only use 5 min and send them off lol.And when you go in the surgery is always empty lol busy 2 speak on the phone aswell . What a joke .. if i can take my NI back ill go private youll get better treatment

I’m here to let rip!! For the past 18 months my mum has been going through stage 3 cancer and has a number of problems with this doctors surgery. From trying to see a doctor, trying to get her medication, dressing they say ‘they don’t supply’ but do because we have had them before, to the rude receptionist that think they are above their pay grade and the list goes on.. absolutely disgusting!! She also suffers with bad mental health and has tried at least 4 times to make an appointment about changing her medication as it don’t seem to be helping but nothing! She just gets push to the side… and I sure she isn’t the only one that they do this to. To the receptionist who was slagging off patience so loud that everyone in the waiting room could hear you.. we did hear you! I will be taking this further!

Ordering prescriptions here is a bit of a nightmare and takes a few attempts before you receive what you got prescribed. I specifically ordered something, double checked with receptionist, went to the chemist and only at home saw this is not the medication I ordered. Could not return. Wasted money due to receptionist's error. Also was asked to come in during COVID-19 pandemic to receive repeat medication prescription, which could be easily done over the phone instead. I sent an email as it was advised on their website, also no response. When I called in again a week later to try convince them it is not a good idea to come into the surgery in person at current times, they said my order already was processed and sent to the chemist. No communication and no patient care. Only one of them is very nice and helpful, so was my doctor. However, I will not continue to stay at this surgery. They are making something easy so much more difficult than it has to be.
