This is a lovely bit of woodland to go and explore. There is space for a few cars on the side of the b-road, and a series of broad and easy paths that circle around the wood. The wood has pine and deciduous bits and there is a large pond in the middle to go find with the kids. There are some good spots for making dens too - not much dog poo either! If you need to tempt the kids there are a couple of geocaches in the area.

Some of the most beautiful ancient woodland in the UK. Visit in April/May to see the spectacular wild bluebells.
