The views from the Tissington Trail between Hartington and Parsley Hay are stunning and the trail can be accessed by people of all ages and fitness levels.

It's a great car park for accessing the Tissington Trail, with a separate are for horse riders on the Pennine bridleway.

Great start point of our 8 mile walk along the Tissington Trail.Car park is £4.75 all day (no change given) and doesn’t accept cards which is a bit frustrating. We had to pop back to Hartington PO to get cash out.Lovely restored signal box to look in, toilets, picnic benches and a kiosk selling light refreshments.

Small refreshments kiosk. Good take away menu. Paninis great! Sells good ice cream too. Hot and cold drinks. Picnic tables to sit at.

A welcome stop for an ice cream on the Tissington Trail, consumed at the tables outside. An interesting history of this former signal box but the refreshments available rather limited. Toilets available on site. If you’re heading north, better to postpone your break until the next stop at Parsley Hey, just 2 miles further on, where there is a good take away counter.

Old restored signal box of Hartington Station, closed in 1954. On Tissington hiking trail which was once the railway line between Ashbourne & Buxton. Toilets, parking, picnic tables, a welcome stop for walkers & cyclists. Level with great views over the high peaks. More cyclists than walkers, so walkers beware of inconsiderate cyclists

Great spot to stop along the Tissington trail for a warm tea or panini. Vmfreat selection of sandwiches, hot drinks and also ice cream! Clean and spacious toilet by the car park. Good stopping point!

Walking through Station on a sunny day - looking forward to having a drink or even an ice-cream. But shop (and signal box) was closed - and looked like it's been shut for a long time. Really disappointed. Why? At least we could use the toilet.
