Cannock Chase Hospital

Had an appointment with the out of hours gp today about an allergic reaction to a cosmetic product at the gp suite. I was recovering from swelling and burn-like sores under my eyes so I felt I should be checked out by a gp. I was also grateful for the evening appointment as i’m disabled and need someone to take me to appointments. So in terms of service, Cannock Chase Hospital is brilliant and I cannot fault it.I got a diagnosis in my appointment by a good technical gp who knew about allergies, in theory she was great. But, I found conversing to be very awkward. She was very clinical and judgemental, I felt I was the size of an ant and proceeded to stare at my shoes until I was “dismissed”. I’m autistic so I had a lot of anxiety in this doctor’s room.All round, it wasn’t a terrible experience but it wasn’t exactly a great one either.

Took a friend for a procedure hadn't been to the hospital before , but do you know what can't believe how helpful and friendly everyone was. To top it all we had a bacon bap ,these girls are only volunteers , couldn't do enough for us. If you don't need to go to the hospital ,just go for a bacon bap. I attended Cannock Hospital this morning for an X-ray. The receptionist in that dept ‘Kerrie’ was super-welcoming, friendly and professional.The waiting time was only about 5 mins and I was called through, by another wonderful staff member.The lady who called me through, was in fact, the radiographer and again, she was super-friendly and professional.She was extremely patient and ‘chatty’ so I didn’t feel rushed in and out, at all.Super service!(We just need our Minor Injuries dept., back!).

Been there a few times for different appointments recently. Each time was quick and efficient. Parking can be difficult depending on the time. Found it easier to park behind the post office sorting centre on the pay and display.

I had my hip replacement Monday under the care of Mr Bitar and I have to say all the staff on Hollybank and Hilton were amazing from beginning to end especially Staff Nurse Lovely and student nurse Georgia they made my stay pleasurable and the theatre staff were fantastic... Thank you

Recently moved here. Been waiting for a hip replacement for over 4 years. Cannock hospital have sorted it, within a couple of weeks.

Had an appointment today with Rheumatology day care for an infusion for osteoporosis. The care and attention given by all the staff, but especially the sister who gave me the infusion, was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The staff were very professional and friendly, I was offered hot drinks throughout my experience. The department was spotlessly clean and in good order. They are certainly not paid enough for the work they do.

I took my farther to the eye specialist. The department staff were very good but, the specialist was unsympathetic to my father's needs, completely un helpful and a disgrace to the hospital. Other people that we have seen here have been outstanding but, on this occasion the lady was simply rubbish. I don't think she understood English very well so, hid behind her ivory tower. She even suggested that we were rude! Because we asked why she couldn't help us. So, unsetting
