Wow! What a house. We rented this for 4 days for a wedding, so had a full house for 2 of the days, and a big party on the Saturday. Everyone loved it. Such a beautiful house, so well refurbished, well equipped and well supported by Ronnie, the House manager, who was fantastic throughout. We know the area well, as used to live in the village, but if you don't, it is a glorious part of Kent, surrounded by the Goodnestone Park estate's beautiful gardens and grounds. Not a single negative to say here, just all amazing. Well worth the money.

My husband surprised me with a weekend stay at Goodnestone Park for my 30th birthday where our friends and family joined us for a weekend of festivities.It was the most perfect venue for such an occasion, the house is beautifully grand while not feeling imposing. Every single room has been decorated sympathetically to the era of the house itself but with some stunning modern twists to keep it feeling fresh.I was blown away by the attention to detail even in terms of the magazines on display coordinating with the decor of the room!The grounds are impeccably kept, waking up in the morning and looking out the window was an absolute pleasure.Ronnie the house manager was a delight to work with and made us feel like we were at home and the local cafe serve the most stunning toasties and hot chocolates.Thank you for such a memorable birthday!

We spent a week in the lovely historic Goodnestone House with a group of 22 made up of adults, teenagers, and young children. All had a wonderful time enjoying the house, the immediate gardens for our sole use, and the wider surrounding park and amenities. A great location for walks and trips to the Kent coast or into Canterbury. Ronnie, the house manager, is as much an asset as the house and gardens. He was a delight to work with from the moment of booking, answering all our many questions before our visit and being on hand during our stay for the slightest thing. If you're looking for a bit of luxury with that Downton Abbey feeling this is the place to come.

We got married at Goodnestone Park in April 2023. The venue was everything we wanted - we knew from the first visit that it was the one and it did not disappoint. Ronnie (house manager) was so welcoming and made us feel like it was our own home for the weekend, the decor in all the rooms is stunning and we were very excited to show it off to our closest friends and family who stayed with us the night before and the night of the wedding. the grounds were picture perfect and gave us the perfect backdrop for all our wedding photos. The Wedding Dolls (wedding coordinators who came with the wedding package) were incredible too!! Now we are looking for an excuse to come back and hire the house and re-live all the memories!!

The gardens at Goodnestone are some of the best I've visited. Tranquil, beautiful in every season, and many different areas to explore. There's a trail for children too.The Old Dairy Cafe also serves lovely lunches and afternoon teas, often with food grown in the gardens.

I had the pleasure of staying at Goodnestone House with 17 guests for a weekend in October, and can honestly say that we had the most wonderful experience. The house itself is immaculate: nearly every bedroom has an en suite, all decorated beautifully; the rooms downstairs are all kitted out with everything you could possibly need (including Sonos); and the house’s rich history is evident from the first step into the hall (where you are greeted by a winding staircase centred around a grand piano). On top of that, what really stole the show for us was the impeccable service provided by the House Manager, Ronnie, and his team. Any questions we had on the weekend itself he made himself available (and always with a smile and happy to have a chat!) and in the month running up to the weekend he went above and beyond to help get everything organised for us. This included arranging a black tie dinner for us to enjoy one night, for which the Ronnie had put us in touch with a caterer (his partner, Judith) who prepared the most wonderful feast we could possibly have hoped for. We started with canapés which were delectable beyond belief (and when choosing these Judith very kindly accommodated any specific requests we had) and then for a main course we had large feasting plates which were presented beautifully and tasted even better (the food really did exceed all expectation). Then after dinner, as if we hadn’t indulged enough, Ronnie had organised a mixologist to prepare cocktails for us (including an absolutely sublime spicy margarita) which truly was the cherry on the cake of an unforgettable evening and weekend. I cannot thank the team enough for their hard work and hospitality, it was in large part down to them that we had such a special weekend.

What a stunning house! I recently stayed here with a group of 12 of us and it was perfect! We were welcomed by Ronnie the house manager as given a tour of the house and its history. Every room has been so lovingly renovated and is such a delight to stay in. Super comfortable beds and gorgeous bathrooms in every room!We had a fabulous dinner in the dining room, and the whole team took care of us so well! The house is lovely and warm, has stunning views from every window, a Sonos system and large wine cooler making for those amazing added touches.Thank you so much for a lovely stay!

We got married at Goodnestone on 3 June 2023. We had the most perfect day thank you to the venue itself, Ronnie (the house manager) and The Wedding Dolls (the day coordinators who come with the wedding package).The grounds themselves are absolutely stunning. The house is a perfect venue to enjoy the weekend with loved ones and to get ready. There are multiple options on ceremony location and the new Orangery is beautiful.We started the weekend with a BBQ for those staying at the house (cooked by our caterer Olivia at Just One Cook), had a fantastic wedding on the Saturday and made the most of Ronnie’s services for a cooked breakfast on the Sunday.The venue itself was incredible, but made all the more special by the fantastic service we received across the weekend. We couldn’t have wished for anymore!Thank you!

Highly recommended. I stayed at Goodnestone House with a group of friends recently. Ronnie and the team were so welcoming and took fantastic care of us. We had prosecco on arrival, and a tour of the house with Ronnie who was so knowledgeable and friendly. We also had a delicious meal and cocktails, and breakfast the next morning. All the food was absolutely delicious! The rooms were all beautifully decorated, it was tricky to choose which to stay in. Lovely comfortable beds and bathrooms too. The house and grounds are just gorgeous, this was the perfect little getaway.We absolutely loved our stay, thank you so much.
