Warbird Experience (T6 Harvard Ltd)

Superb experience, professional, exciting, intense! Staff friendly and very knowledgeable, our pilot was excellent and transported us back in time for our Battle of Britain experience over historic Lincolnshire WW2 bomber county. If you love aviation and you can save up for this YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

We booked a fighter mission as a birthday surprise, flying from Conington. The whole operation from booking to flight went like clockwork. We were kept well informed of developments and timings, as well as what to expect on the day (and how to get there). The pilots and ground crew were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The flight was a huge success and has been enthused about ever since. A phenomenal experience, highly recommended.

14.10.23 Fowlmere, pilot Dave Petter. Very precise email instructions with timings, directions to airfield etc. Final 'good to go' email the night before. Arrived early after long drive from Wiltshire. Met by really friendly groundcrew, who explained everything that would happen. Very informative pre-flight brief by Dave Petter explaining our ''mission'', then walk & strap in. Groundcrew explained all the strapping in procedures, cockpit dials, how to operate the sliding canopy, location of 'barf bag' (luckily I didn't need it). Start engine, taxi to taxiway to test-run engine, then on to main runway. Take off was super smooth with the tail coming off the ground quite quickly. Within 3 minutes I was given control and allowed to continue the climb and put in a few left & right turns. What a super light & responsive aircraft it is. Finally at 4,000ft Dave quickly goes into the rehearsed Spitfire scenario he ran through on the ground. Then followed a full-on 10 minutes of evasive & attack manoeuvres including barrel rolls, chandelles, half cubans and loops, with full commentary from Dave throughout. The accelerometer showed after that we had pulled 3.9g. It was a good thing the go-pro cockpit camera recorded it all, as I couldn't remember much after the first 5 manoeuvres. After we had finished off the enemy I was allowed to take control again for the descent back towards Fowlmere with a mile-wide grin on my face. A textbook landing from Dave and we taxied in to the fuel bowser & had a few final photographs. My wife then treated me to a Wacky Wabbit T-shirt to commemorate the day. We then checked over the go-pro cockpit camera footage and with the whole experience recorded we purchased that as well. Incidentally there is a second camera which looks out of the right side of the cockpit and down the wing. This footage also appears in the corner of the main camera so you get a more accurate aircraft orientation of what you see from the rear facing cockpit footage. This is well worth purchasing and comes on a handy USB stick. I've attached a few photos and a grab shot of the 115 my wife took. Thanks to all the Wabbit team for a memorable day.

Great BoB flight experience in WW2 T6 Harvard advanced trainer for myself & son very friendly & laid back staff as there was no problem with answering questions or trying to rushing the experience l look to doing it again sometime.

I flew with the team from Old Warden ahead of the July Shuttleworth airshow. Flying before an airshow certainly adds alot of excitement to your day!I've flown in several warbird fighters but was still delighted with this Harvard flight as I opted for the Battle of Britain Experience" which focussed on demonstrating combat / aerobatic maneuvers. It was both informative and thrilling to go through these with a detailed explanation from Andy as we performed them. I had opportunities to ask questions and request to see any specific maneuvers again.There was time at the start of my experience for me to take control

Amazing experience, just a taster of what it may have been like to be a fighter pilot in WW2. The Wabbit is an amazing machine and my instructor was full of information throughout the flight. Everyone on the ground worked tirelessly to make it a memorable day. As soon as I got home I stuck the video on to re-live the day. Thanks to all, I hope to return soon.

What an experience, from start to finish I was treated like royalty. Everyone, pilot, ground crew, airfield staff and also the photographer who took over my camera as circumsctances meant I was alone made sure that they made it a day that I will never forget.The pilot was skillful and made my Battle of Britain Experience flight feel like a real Messerschmitt Bf 109 was trying to shoot us down.

Absolutely excellent experience, the crew and pilot were all very friendly and helpful. I will definitely fly again in this beautiful aircraft, and I think it offers amazing value for money when you compare it to a Spitfire flight!

Fantastic experience.Very well organised ground staff and superb pilot made the whole flight very enjoyable.Having previously been on flights in a Cessna 157, Piper Cub and Tiger Moth, the Harvard was another level. A more powerful aircraft, the flight included a few aerobatic manoeuvres that was simply amazing.I would highly recommend anyone interested in experiencing flight.Thank you to all the people who keep the Wacky Wabbit in the air where she belongs.
