I have been doing John's classes for just over a year now, first once a week and now twice weekly. I have found them excellent. The instruction is clear and focuses on reasons for doing poses in the way described, which I find very helpful in understanding what I should be doing. Each pose is given with options to either simplify or increase the difficulty. The emphasis is on working at your own pace to build strength, balance and flexibility. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.I have seen a difference is day to day life since doing regular classes. This has made camping holidays much easier! I am looking forward to weekend retreats now.

I started yoga with John over a year ago and have been a regular Thursday attendee since. Having been to many different classes and experienced many different instructor styles, I am happy to have, at last found a class that ticks all the boxes for me. I think it’s fair to say I’m not a beginner, but I’ve also had years out of yoga for one reason or another, and so had lost flexibility and strength. It’s nice to be back in a class where the instructor is able to accommodate new comers, that are then able to progress by providing enough alternative poses until flexibility and strength is developed. I feel challenged in class, but can also see and feel how I have had many breakthroughs already. The classes have helped with weight loss, strength, concentration, my mental health, and the terrible shoulder pain I was experiencing prior to starting has now all but gone. Some perseverance with one’s self is needed for the first few weeks in terms of self discipline, but once I pushed past this I became hooked again very quickly. I won’t be going anywhere, anytime soon, as my Thursday evenings are well spent with John and the rest of the very friendly class. : )

I started attending John’s yoga classes about 10 months ago. Back then, I attended one and sometimes two classes a week, but now I attend all three most weeks. John is a fantastic yoga teacher. He's able to facilitate the class so it’s suitable for beginners and more advanced yogis, and he explains all the poses thoroughly, as well as advises on modifications to suit all abilities. I’ve learnt so much about yoga in this time, and my practice has improved considerably. From a physical perspective, I've seen improvements in my strength, flexibility, and balance – which I had big challenges with. Additionally, yoga is a very mindful exercise – essentially, it’s hard to think about anything else whilst practicing it, so as a result, i find it excellent for stress management and resilience. If you’re thinking about taking up a yoga practice, I cannot recommend John’s classes enough.

I’ve been going to John’s Thursday classes for about 6 months now. We are a nice bunch of people, some are advanced yogis, others beginners (like me). John makes it accessible and enjoyable for everyone. He gives variations on each difficult pose so everyone feels they’ve achieved something according to their fitness level. I feel relaxed and in a good mood when I leave johns class and I always look forward to the next one. It’s a great class! Come and see for yourself.

John's yoga class is the perfect antidote to any anxiety or stress you might be experiencing. I have been going to both the Thursday in person" class and the Saturday zoom class and have been very impressed with the calm and clear instructions and explanations that are easy to follow. I have been attending John's classes for little over 11 months now, and they are exactly what I need to either start a Saturday, or finish on a Wednesday or Thursday. John is a very experienced instructor, who explains and demonstrates every pose with clarity. John also demonstrates adjustments for individuals who may not be able to perform the pose in full; ensuring everyone feels included and that they can participate. I highly recommend these classes no matter what level you are at.

Having attended John’s yoga classes for almost a year, I have noticed how much strength and flexibility I have gained. I struggled to do poses like downward dog and boat when I started, but through practice and resilience I’m now able to hold them for at least 30 seconds without difficulty. John always explains how to do each pose very clearly and caters to all abilities so everyone can excel at their own pace. Every week John has a different focus for each class, for example back bending or working your core, which I love as you’re always exercising different parts of your body. I always feel calm and collected when leaving John’s classes so I would recommend to anyone that wants this feeling after a busy day!

I've been attending John's yoga classes for a few months and he's a great instructor! His expert knowledge of yoga styles and breathing techniques has guided me in improving and enjoying my practice at the same time. I strongly recommend his classes or private sessions both for those starting out in their practice and those who already have experience and want to keep challenging themselves.

My mum has been enjoying John's weekly Yoga class for almost a year now. She started as a Yoga novice but had already been attending Pilates classes for many years. She says nothing has made her as strong, flexible and relaxed as John's Yoga classes. John's instructions and demonstrations are very clear and there is a sense of achievement at the end of every class. Not to mention all the relaxing breathing techniques!
