Paprika Restaurant
The only Hungarian Restaurant in Wales run by a husband and wife team who’s son is studying for a PhD at Aberystwyth University. A very friendly and professional team. Authentic Hungarian menu including wines and beers.

Wow, what an experience!Loved the food, had some dishes we'd never tried before. Bean goulash, stuffed cabbage and Placky (filled pancake) all great. The hospitality was out of this world, we had such a fun time and loved learning about Hungarian food and drink.Desserts were also great, loved the Chestnut Puree and the StrudelCan't wait to return next time we're in Aberystwyth

Visited Paprika Restaurant for something completely different from the normal Welsh and British food I had on a recent trip to the UK. Was surprised by the variety and quality of the food! The portions are big and hearty - as expected from Hungarian food - and a variety of Hungarian drinks are available! Lot’s of options available for those with special dietary needs.

This place is just magic! Food is so delicious that it is beyond describable.. It is one of those places where whatever you’ll pick from the menu, you will not be dissapointed. Delicious, every time. And also, people, they are just so warm, lovely and welcoming that you will definitely have an unforgettable experience! Thank you so much for making my graduation so special! Köszönöm szép emberek!

This place is amazing! If you want to try Hungarian food in Wales or in the UK, visit Paprika Restaurant, since they serve traditional, home cooked Hungarian dishes. Everything on the menu is suitable for vegetarians and vegans as well. And the owners are so nice, friendly and helpful! We had a really great time there!

My fiancé and I went to Paprika after walking past and thought the menu looked interesting. We were immediately greeted by the very welcoming hostess. She was so friendly and lovely and recommended dishes to us as we hadn’t tried Hungarian food before. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was lovely and cosy. The chef even came to our table to say hello and was so kind to us. We felt we made two new friends that evening and we can’t wait to visit again!

I’m absolutely smitten with this authentic taste of Hungary in Aberystwyth. This is a wonderful culinary experience of Central Europe in mid-Wales. The husband and wife owners are ambassadors for Hungary and the restaurant is a showcase for the country. You simply must taste their Palinka, offered between courses.

Just travelling through from Canada and found this gem... Wonderfully home-made, takes me back to my backpacking days in Hungary. I had the stuffed cabbage with minced pork, rice and paprika, and a glass of classic Hungarian red, Egri Bikaver. Amazing delicious and *highly* recommended. Great, friendly service made our experience even better. Highly recommended!

Expect roughly £24 for a main course, but the quality and novelty of this Hungarian menu are outstanding.I've never had food like this before. Absolutely a diamond in the rough of Aberystwyth's culinary options. In fact, this is probably the highest quality food in Aberystwyth (the menu photos don't really do it justice)I recommend the stuffed cabbage and chimney cake in particular.Top quality service too.
