I attended the Great British Breads course yesterday, it was such an amazing day. The class was really fun & informative, I went to improve my skills and learnt so much. The class was really inclusive as there were bakers of all skills there and Rachael made it accessible for everyone. Rachael's knowledge is superb and she's an excellent teacher. This was a really enjoyable day and I'm looking forward to doing more courses with Rachael, and taking home more delicious bread to impress friends & family with.

Really enjoyed the French baking course last week. Rachael puts everyone at ease and explains everything so well. The proof of the pudding is always when you bake the same items yourself without support and I was delighted with the Second breakfast Granary loaf and baguettes which came out of the oven this morning. I would recommend the course to novices and those who have done a bit of baking as Rachael has many tips which make all the difference. I had been looking at bread-baking books previously, but having done the course, I feel much more informed (as regards the science of baking) and confident to tackle new recipes on my own.

Back for third time.... Italian breads incl focaccia and ciabatta. Fantastic new setting in the new cookery school. Great value for money and lumch and refreshments included and yoh go home with a bag of your own baked breads!Back for second lot of baking - thoroughly enjoyed Welsh breads today. My husband says the Bara Brith is just as good as he remembers as a child and the medieval trencher bread and swansea loaf are ace.Day baking course learning to make french bread and croissants exceeded all expectations - talented and passionate baker Rachael managed to get good baking out of all of us from the novice to the experienced cook. Highly recommend

Recently attended the Italian Breads course with my husband. Rachel was so welcoming and knowledgeable. You will have a really fantastic day whether you were a complete beginner or someone wanting improve. Rachel had lots of tips and tasty examples of breads to try. It was lots of fun too, and a chance to get to know others attending the day over a delicious lunch. You will leave full of enthusiasm. Take a big bag to bring all your great bakes home. We stayed at Chapel Farmhouse nestled at the foot of the Sugar Loaf (approriately named!) which was very, very nice with great hosts. We can also recommend the the Italian restaurant, Casa Bianca where we ate.

My Granddaughter and I have just done the Adult and Teen course which we both thoroughly enjoyed and found very informative and helpful. It was my second Abergavenny Baker course, having done the British Bread Course previously. Rachael really is a very knowledgeable teacher and shares her knowledge in a very user friendly way. I have no hesitation in recommending Abergavenny Baker.

Had a genuinely wonderful day with Rachael and the class attendees making, baking and tasting some delicious Italian breads! My partner and I made the trip to Abergavenny especially for this class as part of a Christmas present, and I’m so glad we did!We stayed at the Lamb & Flag inn and had a delicious meal at Casa Bianca the night before, it’s a lovely town.Rachel’s kitchen is an amazing space to spend the day, and she was so knowledgeable and personable. The entire day was very informative and productive, whilst remaining relaxing and fun, we all had a great laugh and left with a bag full of bread and full stomachs!I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone.

I had a brilliant day on the Italian bread course yesterday. The venue was gorgeous and Rachael immediately put you at ease. Who knew learning to make bread could be so much fun! I came away with lots of, hopefully not misplaced, confidence and really think I may have actually cracked it now. Can't wait to get cooking at home although, you come away with so much gorgeous bread you have baked that it may take some time to munch my way through it. Can't recommend Rachael and the classes she runs enough. If you want a fun day but one that leaves you with some actual bread making skills, this is for you.Thank you Rachael and to all my fellow bread making pals.

As my wife and I had already enjoyed the Italian bread course, it was time to delve into the world of sourdough bread. The class was very informative, conducted at a relaxed pace with five classmates with varying experiences. Rachel is a great teacher, and the day is very relaxed and includes a delicious lunch. You also take home all your baking. Next up, French bread?
