Rose's Piano School

I've always wanted to learn to play the piano but with no experience or musical background, it still took courage to admit that and start looking for a teacher. I shouldn't have worried, Rose is brilliant. I'm enjoying everything about the lessons (and the homework!) and am surprised by how much I've learned already. I'm even beginning to grasp the basics of music theory which previously sounded like complete nonsense. With Rose, I'm both making progress and having fun . I have absolutely no regrets about starting to take lessons and would highly recommend Rose as a teacher.

Rose is an excellent piano teacher, very patient and happy to explain things further when needed, as a mature student this has been very helpful. Rose is very encouraging and makes lessons interesting and fun.

In March 2014 I returned to Piano Studies as an Adult Student, after a long break.When I first met Rose to discuss my ideas and ambitions for the future, she was full of support and enthusiasm for my plans.This has been the theme for the past four years during my lessons. Her teaching style is very friendly and positive. She is not afraid to set her pupils realistic challenges, but there is no feeling of being under pressure.If you wish, you may take the serious route and study for ABRSM exams.Or if you want to just learn for fun and as a hobby then that is not a problem.Her twice yearly concerts are great fun and a great challenge, and also they give you a fabulous opportunity to play on a splendid Grand Piano.Rose offers well structured and planned lessons within a comfortable setting.I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of learning, or any parents who wish there child to learn, to use Roses Piano School for lessons. They will not regret there decision!.

You can’t beat a word of mouth recommendation and that’s how I found out about Rose, I feel so very lucky to have found such a brilliant piano teacher! After many years of trying to “teach” myself, I am now making steady progress, with renewed enthusiasm and I am very optimistic about continuing to achieve new heights. Learning piano with Rose is like being on a great musical journey and it is always so much fun!Updating my initial review:When I started piano lessons, I wondered at what point I might hit a ceiling. Two distinctions and a merit later, I’m now on Grade 4 and progressing through it at a much quicker pace than I ever thought possible - thoughts of hitting a ceiling have gone! This is all thanks to Rose equipping me with the skills, knowledge and technique, combined with effective practice methods that have allowed me to advance through grade 4 at a rate that has come as a very pleasant and encouraging surprise!

As a child I had a few piano lessons but didn’t ‘stick at it’ In later years I had a desire to learn again Juggling a family and working full time meant that I didn’t really have the time. I plucked up the courage to contact Rose to book some lessons and I am so pleased that I did. Rose is so patient- she makes all the lessons fun and I really look forward to them. I can’t believe how much I have progressed in such a short time. I would highly recommend Rose for anybody who would like to learn the piano whether they are young or more ‘mature’ like myself.

Absolutely LOVE my piano lessons with Rose and look forward to it every week. Rose is very organised and professional and always has a lesson plan which keeps me on track. Would totally recommend Rose!!!!Julie Bell
