Holiday Inn Express Wakefield, an IHG Hotel
Location is great close to everything.Room is clean and comfortable and bed had a good sleep. The wall washing products are nice good quality.If you forget something they provide it.Shame they ran out of flannels.Breakfast is included is continental, also some hot items, also everything is clean. Limited breakfast no fresh croissants or pain au chocolate or hash browns or wide range of fruit. Disappointed but had veg sausages so ended up being full!As a member you can get late check out for free. I would stay here again definitely.

Nice location, close to shops and transport links. Some of the fittings needed attention and a little more cleaning but for the price it’s ok. If you can’t park in their limited spaces outside there is a shopping centre car park next door which is well lit and reasonably priced.

With the front desk attitude, I was already expecting the worst experience to be honest: rooms are below IHG standards and fall short to be desired, even the towels and beddings will make your skin crawl.Carpet stains, bedding stains, dust everywhere and a badly installed shower causing water puddles after each shower. For a world wide brand I expected more from the bad silicon finish all around the bathroom.I do like the bathroom gel brand soak" though and the shower pressure is decent.Breakfast is typical for a Holiday Inn express but sitting area is small hence you will get bullied off except you wake up early to kick it off

Holiday Inn Express Wakefield, an IHG Hotel
Basic hotel, but in a really good location.Many of our party complained about the quality of their sleep as their mattresses appeared overdue a replacement.Parking is a real challenge, as they have extremely limited parking (maybe 20 spaces).There is a multi-storey car park next door, however the hotel don't offer any discounts, so you'll have to pay full price, if you end up having to park there.

Holiday Inn Express Wakefield, an IHG Hotel
Fantastic Hotel, welcoming, friendly staff. Great restaurant and bar. On-site parking. Fabulous rooms, very clean and tidy. Very comfortable beds. Excellent food quality is very tasty. The breakfast was probably the best I've had. I've got to give this hotel a 10 out of 10.I will definitely stay there again.
