Nicola and her team were very responsive and always kept us updated throughout the whole process, they took time to explain what was happening, which took a lot of the stress out of moving. I used Barnes & Partners in Crouch End for a Will and was very satisfied. When I sold and bought a house I returned to them to act for me. I was referred to their Enfield office. It has been nothing less than a disaster - incompetent solicitors who (of course) don't communicate their mistakes and incompetence; poorly prepared assistants who don't stay long enough to get any knowledge of the cases (don't blame them) and brusk and sometimes rude receptionists who are too stressed to listen to your requests. If I could give Barnes and Partners zero stars I would. The most unprofessional firm of any kind that I have ever come across. Any good work by other solicitors in the firm is being totally trashed by useless and incompetent colleagues at all levels.

My experience with B&P started off awful with Ngozi (avoid). Thankfully after complaining I was moved over to Nicola and her assistant Jackie who were both great and worked really hard for me. Nicola is very responsive, efficient and helpful and exactly what you want from a conveyancing solicitor.

Nicola Payne was absolutely fantastic throughout a long and difficult property purchase. She is extremely responsive and explained concepts I was confused by. Highly recommend.

I was always kept informed every step of the way. The time it took due to the probate process, was dealt with professionalism and an admiral amount of patience from Nicola and Jackie. Wish I had never used Barnes and Partners. Wendy never replied to any emails, was a frustrating process at the time and the things they missed are causing me multiple issues now.

I initially had a solicitor with a different law firm. A friend of mine recommended Barnes and Partners as she used them and was happy with their service.The solicitor I was recommended said to contact her after when she came back from holiday. When she returned from annual leave apparently she was too busy to take my case on. I wasted a whole month for nothing.The receptionists were useless. I would call, they would take my number but never no calls returned.Feeling frustrated with the poor service

Extremely slow and poor communication.We been dealing with the assistant of our designer solicitor and the all process has been painful.Their fees are not competitive and the service they are providing is below average with low care and lengthy process.

Extortionate fees for a very poor service. Awful solicitors, really regret choosing them to go with for buying a property. I would never recommend them to anyone and I will most definitely never use this company again.The staff are rude all the way from the dismissive and unhelpful receptionists and to the actual solicitors themselves, who are incompetent as well. Wendy Gudgeon is really rude and unprofessional in her manner from what I experienced, I could not believe it. Also her and the rest of the staff always seem to be busy, away or on annual leave, especially when you need them most. They are very difficult to get hold of, via email or by phone, communication is so poor. You have to end up chasing them up for everything, where it should be the other way around. Extremely unorganised and cause so much stress. They made the whole process ever so stressful and take forever to get things done. Avoid.

I got very fast replies via email after my first call and then got an appointment very quickly as well. Harikesh Patel was amaying! He explained my redundancy agreement in a way I understood while at the same time listening to all my questions and concerns and really understanding my situation. At no time did I feel rushed or that I asked too many questions. His help made a real difference! I can absolutely recommend them.
