Beech House Medical Practice Dr Salim & Partners

Contacted the surgery and asked why I hadn’t been contacted by telephone from gp as all appointments had gone but I was classed as emergency. No phone call came and when I spoke to receptionist(Michelle) her manner tone and behaviour was a disgrace she even put the phone down on me. I fully intend to make an official complaint and take this further still haven’t seen a doctor. After 25 years at this surgery I will be leaving. BEECH HOUSE STANDARDS HAVE SLIPPED SO BADLY SINCE ALLAN,RILEY AND CO HAVE LEFT.DISGRACEFULL SHAMBLES

Great practice. Very professional and organized. Managed to fit me in for bloods within 4days last place took 3 weeks.

I have been a patient for 50 years and have always respected the demands upon doctors and staff. I booked an appointment with wells chemist for my covid booster. Since doing so I developed cold symptoms and wanted some advice. Phoned wells chemist 12 times but despite hanging on phone just cute off. Thought I would consult my surgery and answer phone told me they would only answer emergency calls. I am absolutely appalled as a 72 year old who can I turn to for a simple Conversation without going to 111.beech house you have let me down terribly

I was with the practice about a decade, and while I’d received good care from Dr Allen (now gone, along with Dr Levy) , I have often found it very hard getting an appointment; the nurse was very good too, but I always got the feeling several of the other doctors weren’t really that bothered about patient health and more concerned with getting through their (admittedly busy) schedules. In the end I ignored fairly serious illnesses because getting an appointment in any reasonable time frame (within a month) was becoming almost impossible.

I've been with this surgery over 15 years. It's staff are always helpful and professional. I can always get an appointment, they even offer phone appointments and out of hours appointments now which is brilliant. My doctor has been brilliant with me personally. I've taken information in to show her, asked her numerous questions and she's always taken the time to listen and answer. On top of that she's found me the best possible medication and I feel great. Highly recommend Beech House.

I arranged for an afternoon telephone appointment, the receptionist told me the doctor would phone me back and you know what? The doctor never called me back! I waited five hours with my phone in hand for nothing. I tried to ring the receptionist at 18:08 to ask why I still hadn't received my telephone appointment and the receptionist telephone was logged out so I couldn't even contact the receptionist who may or may not have booked it for me. The clinic is supposed to close at 6:30pm and on their website I read that the receptionist phone is on till 6:45pm... Is this how this surgery treats it's patients?

Excellent staff all round. They go above and beyond for you. They will see you or your child asap and try and sort issues over the phone if possible. The doctors are lovely and will put you at ease and they will take time even if it means them going over their allocated time slots.

This could be the straw that breaks the camels back. Just been to my Chemist to collect my repeat prescription, only yo find out that Beech House has cancelled them! Absolutely fuming. On contacting Beech House, they tell me they have been cancelled because I need to have a review. When I told them this happened two months ago, they said they had been cancelled because the Doctor hadn't signed them off. I then told them the Doctor who did my review signed them whilst I was on the telephone to the Doctor and he then loaded the prescriptions onto the system. She had no answer to this. Again another tale of useless Administration at Beech House.

I was previously at Springfield in Hazel Grove who were awful. Misdiagnosis after misdiagnosis leading to grave illness, plus the receptionist’s jobs seemed to be to prevent you seeing a doctor. A story repeated by many Grove residents.However Beech House is the total opposite. I’ve stayed with them for ten years now. Competent GPs and the receptionists are really kind and want to help you. No medical practice is perfect, but this one is the best in the area and has the right attitude, especially when you’re suffering with chronic illness. I feel so much safer there than my previous practice.
