I would not advise anyone over the age of 70 not to use this bank. It leaves British citizens in the lurch in foreign countries. Leave a 90 yr disabled client stranded without money and push protocols onto them not to get the money to them asap. I would leave a zero star rating but I can't.....

I'm disabled and housebound and my husband opened a new joint bank account for me as he's also my carer so he could help me. Waited 2 weeks for hsbc and kept calling them, they said finally he could go down to the branch to take our ID but now the manager has refused, even though 4 different people on the phone said it was OK and we drafted a letter, apparently the bank manager is wrong but they don't know their ..from their elbow

Very easy to access with disabled ramps and doors, staff seem friendly enough and now they don't have a counter service the staff are more free to help.It never seems too busy either, so very quick in and out.
