North Link M1 Toll

Nice little spot if you want your journey interrupted by someone looking to take money off you. Scenery is smashing too, loads of concrete blocks and steel barriers. What more can I say? If you don't believe me, go and have a look for yourself.

Eflow system is flawed, sometimes the barrier doesn't open and ended up damaging my car, needs to be fixed, but I really do love the thrill of not knowing if its going to open or not. Oh what a joy, plus for a road network that makes so much money you think they would atleast re pave the Eflow road. Riddle with pot holes

For some reason my business card isn't allowed to tap and go. I really should ne asking them to fix this. I wonder how we should score a gate that charges us every single time...oh well!!!

Sneaky Garda speed vans like to shoot fish in a barrel once you increase speed after coughing up 2.10 euro for the toll. Be prepared for a fine of 160 euro in the post if you break 120kmph. It is all for your safety folks. Revenue collectors. Good luck finding a Guard when you need one!

Staff are very friendly but I'd rather they make this plaza toll free just like the M50. It's a crazy spot once you've paid & you exit the toll, especially when it's busy. 6 lanes merge into 2, a free for all, an accident waiting to happen.

Saturday 15th January 2022.2 negative interactions with both toll booth staff , once this morning heading to Northern Ireland, they take card of you to tap outside of the toll booth box, then she dropped my debit card on the ground, maybe because she was wearing the wrong type of gloves or just shoddy attention to detail. No apology given.I tried to retrieve my debit card from the ground and as I tried to open my car door it hit against the raised concrete plint, big Q of cars behind me beeping car horns. Disaster.On the return leg returning from Northern Ireland this afternoon, female toll booth said your card does not work, its not having a tap symbol on it, I replied we just used it in Northern Ireland, No issues. She then starts huffing and puffing, drama, then I offered another card as again the Q was quite large behind me. She then says its okay, I got it sorted, poor service and please Toll booth managers there has to be a better more efficient way with technology to improve the payment process.

Barrier indicated a green light, barrier went up and just as we about to pass the barrier came down, we were lucky to be able to stop in time without damaging car, we reversed back and it opened again, EXTREMELY DANGEROUS There is something wrong with the barrier system!

Over priced. Barriers done work. A way of taking money off everyone for no reason.

I travelled through the M1 toll plaza at the June bank holiday weekend. I had to give my card details to the cashier as I couldn't tap my phone to pay the toll.The day after my trip someone tried to use my card for online shopping. I did not give out my card details anywhere else around that weekend...

Question Why is there no layby for HGV's on either side of motorway at this location! just a thought !
