Homebase - Harlow

They generally always have what I'm looking for from DIY to houseplants, although it's always worth checking if it's in stock on their website.

Was surprised at how big the store was. I drove all way there to get 2 boxes of white tiles as were on offer buy one get other half price. Also was half price on flower pots so get 2 for half price.

Went on a Monday and Homebase was quiet.They stock huge range of items plants for inside and out, gargening, home DIY and flooring just to mention a few.The item I was after had been moved as setting up for Christmas so ask and the gentleman was ever so helpful, walked the length of the shop with me to found the item was not to be in stock for the colour I was after but he explained that I could check prior to coming or order to my home or to store.If you need anything for the home it worth a visit and we don't want to lose it like the Chelmsford store, now gone.Setting up for Christmas now, brilliant.

Awful store. Ordered my bathroom from there and wish I never had. They use bad courier companies and sell faulty goods. First attempt at the delivery I took a days annual leave just for the delivery not to show. Then my tap was faulty and leaking and they don’t have replacements in store so waited a week for a new one to be delivered in store so I don’t have to worry about missong the delivery as I work. Tracking states delivered in store only to be told by an extremely rude and unhelpful duty manager - Karen that my delivery isn’t there and nothing they can do and can’t look into it until two days later as staff are on annual leave. Also Karen had a wannabe hench man called Gary who likes to pipe in and be rude to you. I asked them for the store managers name, their names and contact number only to be given the wrong number and laughed at. I called the number given in front of her to show her it’s an incorrect number and she’s still telling me it’s the right number. That store hasn’t got a clue what’s going on and is so unprofessional. I wish stepped foot in there. Awful staff. Awful place. Avoid at all costs.

Had what we wanted. Changed the front of the store to storage. Garden table and chairs gone etc... . Plenty of stock. Prices can be dearer than competitors. Plant section is well stocked but they could look after them better.

Staff are always friendly and helpful, very present and knowledgeable! Huge bonus that our dog is welcome in the store as she has very important opinions to give on our DIY choices!

Very big store with friendly helpful staff. Only fault I have is their solar lights are always faulty so don't buy them from homebase. Go to the pound shop for solar lights (that's where my neighbours went and their lights are bright every night, where as mine don't work at all) :-(

Very sizeable store with all the usual DIY, building, decorating and gardening items at reasonable prices. Always found staff to be cheerful and helpful. Large free car park immediately alongside however if tempted to browse in close by Dunelm and maybe call in their café for refreshments, note free parking is restricted to 3 hours and if you forget anything no return within two hours applies.
