Great staff, beer, music and atmosphere. Wasn't expecting much, but came away feeling impressed.

We booked for a 60th birthday party, hiring the taproom. the manager and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Easy to liaise with prior to the event making it all very straightforward. We brought a band and booked a street food vendor and the taproom team looked after everyone and everything all evening making sure it all ran smoothly. having a party in a brewery brought positive comments from all the guests - it really was cool sitting around the beer vats. I highly recommend this venue for any event hire.

Good setting for watching the rugby world cup and having a few drinks. They serve both beer and wine and the ladies behind the bar are great!

Sept. 2022 - A recent visit to the Loose Cannon Brewery could have been better. The excellent home brewery brewed ale flowed and was imbibed with gusto, a superb pint - but no German beer. I would have thought, on a 'Feature Event' evening, where the Bavarian colours were hoisted in places, bratwurst was served and Lederhosen encouraged to be worn, some fizzy-frothy stuff, perhaps served in an oversized handled mug with a lid, might have gone well with the tone. But, no matter, the indigenous ale was very satisfying.What let the evening down, in this reviewers opinion, was the awfulness of the band - far too loud (I do believe there were complaints) far too much bass and the singer screeching at least an octave higher than he was comfortable with - and murdering with the help of his backing group, some very good songs.So. Loose a star for that. I could be more scathing, but all the other aspects of the brewery are very well done - the retail area, the merchandise, the big screen sports events and not least the ales.

Very cool place for a party. Had my friends wedding reception there. Quirky. Good acoustics for a live band and lots of great local spirits there too. Try the chocolate rum!

Great taproom. If you've not been get off your (xxxx) and get down here. Cask and keg options are both exceptional. Food truc in s on site usually and very good. Value is off the scale.

Went to the open night / beer tour. 15 fee that includes four pints. It’s a lot of fun. If two of you, then can try every ale. There is a wine shop too and merchandise. I bought a couple of beer labels, I like the puns. The brewer explains the process and has a good sense of humour. I took a picture inside one of the vessels. It was lively when we went, seating comfortable. A pizza van was there for food, not cheap but a good pizza to soak up the beer.

Great local brewery with a tap room and shop. Regularly do events which are always good fun. Great beer and a new special every month. Great and would recommend for beer lovers.

Great nightWent to the tap room tonight for our first event. Crazy evening Drag Bingo….We had a fabulous night… Entertainment was excellent… Food.. Fusion BBQ Skewers… it was so tasty, three of us ate freshly cooked whilst we waited. An all round excellent night.Would have given 5 star..but the seating was a little too cozy

This is a really cool spot. Not really the place you'd expect to go, but if you live in Abingdon or further afield, it's well worth a visit. The beer is really good- lots of choice and at a good price! The staff were friendly and it had a nice, laid back vibe!
