For the price, really could not argue!Location was great for where we needed to be. Rooms were clean and spacious and beds were comfy. Even though the staff were not physically there, they were easy to reach by phone and helpful. As hotels go, for the value, we had a great experience!

The room was very minimal, and for a small price, quite central to Huddersfield.I have given a 1 star review because I payed £50, I stayed there almost over a month ago and I am still yet to receive my deposit back.I rang the checkin desk and they said I need to check my bank!?! Outrageous. To say I'm disappointed is an understatement.

Do not stop here.!!!The room we got was in the attic & nothing like web site rooms. No Heating, hardly any lights working, cold & damp. Left after first nite.Informed owners, who don't care & fob you off, with false promises.Still received no refund. Informed booking . Com but still no refund !!!Reporting to council & trading standards shortly if no refund recovered in due course.Stay at your perilOwners don't care about customer service

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Good value for the price charged. The self check in system is strange and the instructions were confusing.

I stay here weekly when available, ideal location for town and if booked early enough then price won’t be beaten, any problems are only minor, microwave and fridge a bonus as breakfast isn’t available , get what you pay for and always sleep well except when in box room , I would recommend.

I haven't booked, but I just wanted to express feelings after being shocked by how they approached customersWell, I rang phone numer to make my booking and Asian lady who is not in hotel but probably in India or Thailand answered the phone with hard to understand English but also with very bad signal on her end and children running around in the background. After 15mins of trying to connect with her by hanging up and phone again I gave up. This is very unprofessional way of booking your room.

I booked a room then when I discovered how they operate I decided to cancel immediately. Because there are no staff to check you in they want everything up front. They even expect you to send them via a gmail account no less - copies of your ID and proof of address. Don't think I'll be trusting such documents to some random hotel in Huddersfield.

Upon entering the hotel the landlord was very helpful and welcoming. I loved this hotel and more importantly, I can’t believe the value for money. Me and my partner loved it and would recommend to anyone and definitely will be returning.

WARNING! If you do not show them ID you will not get your room.I booked 2 rooms here. I had a phone call before I arrived from a lady who I couldn't understand. After a while she told me I needed to provide ID to access the room. I asked why? She said 'hotel policy'. I asked why it was policy and she lied and told me it was the law and that all hotels do it. I know this is a lie as will most people as you do not need to provide ID in the UK for traveling. I have worked in hotels for years and I know this not to be true.As she lied I was already dubious. I looked the company up online and the only director owns a ton of other businesses including financial businesses so I became suspicious. I asked to see their policies especially their privacy policy, which by UK law they must have and show to the general public. They couldn't do that. They then continued to lie on email and on the phone and sent me 'where in the law it said I needed to provide ID to them'. I told them I only had a non certified ID and that I didn't have a driver's license or passport (why would I traveling by train across the UK?).In the end they didn't allow me to access the rooms (even though I have paid) and I had to stay at a Travelodge instead (paying again). They have refused to refund me and are illegally keeping my money!
