Great club, with fantastic people and surprisingly tranquil countryside feel, you would never guess it is 30 minutes drive from Manchester! Spending a day here feels like a mini holiday.

Fantastic people, and excellent facilities to sail. There’s help for learners with great training, and sport for experts, with races up to 3 days a week.

Visited today 8th June for the border counties mid week series, very welcoming and great racing in very challenging shifty wind. Well done to everyone involved in makin it a great day.

Budworth SC is a friendly club in a beautiful location. Class racing takes place every Sunday from April to December and turnouts are good, ensuring close racing. Handicap racing on Saturdays and, during the summer, Wednesday evenings provides further racing opportunities. A Raceboard fleet is active, especially on Tuesday evenings and visiting boards are welcome. During March there is an open handicap series to allow visitors to see what a great club Budworth is. Juniors are catered for with dedicated fleet racing within club events and also a comprehensive training programme. Several of our Juniors have gone into area and national training squads.

A brilliant club, I'd highly recommend going down, signing up and getting involved. Fantastic for families and adults alike, brilliant way to learn how to sail. Especially when we all need to get out of the house in the COVID times.

Budworth is a warm, friendly and active sailing club with members from +8yrs to 80yrs+ . They have regular racing on Wednesday, Saturday and Sundays with other nights for dedicated Raceboard racing too. I learn to sail at Budworth which is also a RYA training centre, so you know you are getting top quality coaching. It was also voted as RYA club of the Year 2022 following a nationwide public vote - it really is a hidden gem for sailing in the heat of Cheshire. Fleet racing and high turnouts are very strong at Budworth with the main classes in RS200, ILCA, GP14, Solo, Snipe, Fireflies and junior Toppers to name but a few.
