I booked a course with a friend at the cost of nearly £500 . On the day peter cancelled because it was too windy which was fair enough . However every other time we tried to organise a day he fobbed us off with an excuse . Eventualy he stopped answering phone or replying to messages . in my opinion a complete cowboy not to be trusted . Ryan lamont

After several cancellations due to unsuitable weather conditions, Peter was very accommodating regarding our situation with two people on the original booking who could no longer attend. When the day did go ahead, it was a great experience.

I bought the EP and CP package in December 14. After 6 months I had only done 3 days with the school (I had left at least 18 weeks spare in the diary), mainly due to bad weather and lack of mid-week or evening flying opportunities. I was twice given an opportunity to train mid week, but I was only given a few days notice (not enough to take holiday time for it). The first time I was given a list of available dates to fly was after 6 months with the school. It would have been helpful if no fly days were occasionally used for ground handling and theory sessions.Peter the main instructor was very pleasant.On my third days instruction I was mainly taught by the second instructor. I found it patronising when he had a go at me for not doing something that I not even been taught yet. I also observed him with another student who had been doing well. The student made a couple of errors on take off; the instructor wasn't supportive, which lead to the student becoming stressed, and on subsequent flights his performance deteriorated. I also watched at the end of a days flying the same instructor explaining to the same student how to pack the paraglider for the first time. Instead of helping the student when when he was doing it incorrectly - he stood back with other people and made fun of him. I guess he thought he was being funny. Needless to say I wasn't very impressed.After heading on a summer holiday to the Alps and coming home with my CP in only 6 days from a different school, I suggested to Cloudbusters that it would be reasonable for them to refund me the CP part of my course fee (even though I hadn't even managed to finished the EP with them). They said they didn't do refunds (T&Cs).This ended up in being a very slow and expensive way to learn to paraglide as it cost me the price of the EP and CP for 3 day paragliding.I regret signing up with Cloudbusters. My advice is go with a school that teaches every day and that gives refunds on days not flown; then join a club with a supportive coaching environment.In the end I wish I had not wasted all those weekends waiting for dry still days and gone to learn abroad in the first place.All in all a very bad experience.

I recently achieved EP with Peter at Cloudbusters in a relatively short space of time. We were pretty lucky with the weather and did several consecutive days and a few odd days as weather permitted. The instructors are friendly and knowlwdgable and I can't fault them. Peter has been paragliding his whole life and obviously has a great passion for it. It is a very weather dependant sport, especially at the beginning, so, you just have to keep a few weekends free and hope for the best!
