I had multifocal lens replacements installed yesterday evening. I was on 3 different prescriptions prior to this and finally took the plunge to improve my quality of life.Less than 24hrs later, I'm typing this review, minus glasses! I was really nervous about the procedure but I can assure you that the thought of it is far far worse than reality. Completely painless, just very minor discomfort for a few hours afterwards.I couldn't believe how quick and straightforward the surgery was...!!Mr Anandan and the team were professional and friendly from the initial consultation right through to the procedure itself. Also I had a follow up call this morning from Mr Anandan to check that everything was ok. The experience couldn't have been better and I would recommend it to anyone.The amazing thing was, I read the aftercare instructions this morning, just a few hours after surgery... and it suddenly dawned on me, I'd read them without glasses!Mr Anandan came highly recommended and I can see why....Life changing.

5* experience from start to finish. From initial enquiry, Mr Anandan's assistant was organised, professional and efficient. My initial consultation was thorough and reassuring, even though I had (past tense!!) a big astigmatism in one eye. Mr Anandan is clearly an expert in his field. The optician who I also saw on a separate occasion was friendly, kind and extremely knowledgeable. On the day of my surgery I was made to feel comfortable by the whole team. They worked together so well and clearly enjoy their work. Everything was well organised, I felt calm and looked after. The nurses were really kind. The actual surgery was a pretty amazing experience. I didn't experience any pain at all. Not one bit. All you have to do is lie still! It is so worth it and has changed my life. I had better than 20:20 vision less than 24 hours post surgery. Lots of after care advice is provided. If you're considering laser eye, just go for it, it will change your life. Before my laser eye surgery, I was extremely anxious for the procedure. However, I felt very confident that Mr. Anandan was performing the surgery and I trusted his judgment and knowledge. The operation was very successful, achieving better than 20/20 vision at my follow up appointment the next day. I had little/no discomfort following the SMILE surgery and have had no side effects. I would recommend laser eye surgery, and specifically Mr. Anandan, to anyone.

I was anxious with laser eye surgery as we all would be worried about losing our sight. The pre-assessment was great and the different laser surgery was clearly explained. Prior to my appointment, reception was great and the staff made me feel so comfortable. I was repeatedly asked if I had any questions and staff communicated effectively. During the procedure, I was informed of what was going to be happening and always when it was happening. I felt some pain during the procedure similar to going to the dentist. Aftercare was explained and also my follow up appointments were so positive. The results are amazing and I wish I did it sooner. Thank you to all the staff and team at the eye clinic :)

My experience at nuffield health having lazer eye surgery was great!They made me feel very calm and confortable as I was understandably nervous.It was such a quick and easy procedure, there was no pain at all and it went very smoothly.To put it in perspective I would say going to the dentist for a filling is harder than having lazer eye surgery.I will be highly recommending lazer eye surgery with Mr Anandan to all friends and family. Can't thank him enough!I can see!!! Woohoo! :D

Believe me going to hospital is right up there with things I never want to do! However Mr Anandan made me feel completely at ease and his professionalism is second to non. This was also emulated by the Team who work with him, each member of staff was amazing, great at what they do and made me totally relaxed.The results, which is what I really went for, are fantastic, less than 24hoirs since the procedure and I have perfect vision, that’s a first for some 40 years.If you are looking to have Laser Corrective surgery, Mr Anandan is the best!

I had my lens replacement surgery done by Mr Anandan and I could fault it anyway from the consultation through to the surgery - I was nervous on the day the procedure was done and Mr Anandan and his team made me feel really comfortable and at ease.The actual procedure was smooth and painless and all throughout the procedure I was spoken to which made me feel at ease.I feel it is very important to have the best practice and surgeon when it comes to your eyes - I was offered the treatment at a lower price by another company but I am so glad I chose to go with Mr Anandan as the results of the surgery are much better than I ever anticipated.I would not think twice to recommend Mr Anandan to anyone and I already have a few friends looking to go with him for the same surgery.Thank you Mr Anandan and team.

I am impressed by the care and professionalism of Dr Anandan who is the consultant surgeon, and Mrs Soor who is the optometrist, and their team. It's been a wonderful experience, and I didn't imagine it could go so smoothly and without any side effects. It's been a pleasure from the initial consultation until the follow-up appointments. Dr Anandan informed me honestly and impartially about all the options available. I also researched by myself, looking into some international scientific journals of ophthalmology and I found the same data and information given during our appointments. Ultimately, I opted for the SMILE procedure, which is the least invasive one ever and the best and latest one in terms of technology used. It lasted just 2 minutes per eye! The day after the surgery, I started to see clearly without any discomfort, and my eyes felt and looked like they hadn't undergone any surgery. I wish I had this done earlier!

I am so glad I took my time and did a lot of research. Dr Anandan and his team were 100% the right decision for me. These are the reasons why I chose the Laser Vision Centre at Nuffield Health over other eye laser clinics.1) You meet the surgeon weeks / months before the surgery. In lots of other places, the assessment is done by other members of staff and you only meet your eye surgeon on the day of surgery. This didn't fill me with confidence. Here, you will meet Dr Anandan at your first appointment and you can decide for yourself if you have a good feeling or not.2) There is no pressure to go ahead. I didn't receive endless phone calls when I wanted to book my surgery. I found it very positive and reassuring. I know of other places where staff members have to achieve a certain number of new patients signing up and it's easy to overlook if it is actually the right decision for the patient. Dr Anandan would only treat you when he is certain that it will be a success.3) The second appointment is with his Optometrist, Mrs Harinder Soor. She is absolutely amazing. Not only did she spot straight away that at an assessment at a different clinic the wrong eye was declared as my dominant one (and she was right), but she was very thorough and allowed plenty of time for questions. I can highly recommend her.4) I took my time but eventually booked my surgery. I've been thinking for 20 years about it and I was never brave enough. 18 years of them were google and research only and only in the last 2 years, I started to have assessments. I got very nervous in the days leading up to the surgery and I left a message with Sue, Dr Anandan's secretary. Within half an hour she phoned me back and gave me lots of reassurance about my worries.5) The day of surgery. I didn't believe a single review when people mentioned it did not hurt. This is impossible I thought. The pre-op was done by Vicky, a lovely lady, who took my mind off my worries like no one else. I also want to thank Jane, who was there the whole time for us when we were waiting, with coffee and biscuits and a good giggle. I apologise that I didn't catch all the names of Dr Anandan's team when I went into the theatre. You all were amazing. I can't believe I'm writing this: The surgery did not hurt. You get numbing drops and the lid speculum was applied so gently, that I didn't even feel it when my eyes were held open by it. The first laser was a walk in the park (for me). I had to look into a green light and it took less than 10 seconds. For the second laser, I had to concentrate for a little bit longer - around 20 seconds and I noticed this burning smell, what lots of people talk about. Again, at no point, I was in pain.6) I had the Presbyond surgery and straight afterward my vision was a bit cloudy. I was reassured that this is normal. At home, I started my eye drop regime and went to sleep.7) Next day: I woke up and the cloud was gone. I could see! My appointment in the afternoon showed I had better than 20/20 vision. I was able to see the last row! My reading was not 100% at this point, but my distance vision was unbelievably good.8) 48h later my reading vision is perfect, too9) 4 days later (only because the last 2 were a weekend) and I'm back at work. I drove with my own car 40 miles and worked all day on the computer. I could see everything.I have no hesitation in recommending this amazing team.
