A proper old school pub, not the biggest choice of real ale, but the landlady did say it's a lager drinkers pub, because that's what the locals like.The beer was excellent, the food was traditional pub grub, and plenty of it.I thought this would be a passing trade pub due to its location, but it was thriving and full of locals supporting their local, who were all friendly, chatty and able to help out my friend (who had just moved to the area) with advice and business cards!I will be returning shortly!!

Had an evening meal here and the food is amazing! We were expecting normal average pub food but were completely wrong, very reasonable prices for such good quality food. Excellent service as well from staff. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area!

Place looks nice... Could probably work on their manners though. Never eaten here and probably never will due to lack of manners.

Nice clean friendly village pub.... Parking is OK at the rear. Have Sky & BT Sports..... Guinness on tap..... Food yet to be tried.... Have a restaurant with about 20 covers..... 2 bar areas.....

Stopped here on our drive to go on holiday and the food was so good, tasty with generous portions. The staff were amazing and friendly. Dog friendly pub. Great value. It was so good we stopped on the way back too.

Only one draft ale but it was nice. Ok prices (£8 for pint of beer and large white wine) two TVs and music loud when we walked in but friendly bar staff asked if we wanted it turning down. Nice little village pub, easily missed on this busy road. Quiet when we went, very helpful staff, apparently the food is good but we didn't try it this time.

I use to work in this building with Louise and Robert the delivery driver when it was a Indian. Nice welcoming people and the customers were always nice. Had a cheeky pint the other day hoping to see old faces like beaker. Love what they have done with the pub design wise.

It is 45 years since last visited this pub.lt has not changed on the outside,the inside is another story.They have also added a large partly covered outside area.The present landlord has had extensive work inside,to cater for modern diners.Also,once a week they bring three pool tables out,or,on another night,3 dart boards,so that they can cater for all tastes,marvelous idea.Definitely worth a visit,well done.
