Very helpful staff . Attended today to shop for 3 children’s Christmas presents . Staff member Lesley could not of been more attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we managed to get all items on “Santa’s list “. With reference to 2 separate items we required that were not on the shelves she went into stock room and on ladder pulling behind other items to ensure we managed to get our goods . Just been in the shop in the metro this morning it was like looking for a needle in a haystack, a knew what a wanted but a was lost in all the toys, after walking around for 20mins looking lost,Until a come across this lovely woman called Lesley who had me out the shop within 5 minutes of helping me, she got the things a needed and even helped me carry them to my car,What a credit to the company very helpful thank you

Smyths Gateshead metrocentre is the worst toy shops you can visit, total mess, disorganized and their favorite trick incorrect pricing. Best off trying other toy shops first. Check the prices and check your receipt if your shopping here.

Staff are really nice, security is a p***k. Stands there and watches us EVERY single time we go in to look at pop vinyls as if we are going to start shoving them up our T-shirts. Attitude today was disgusting when asking us to leave the store a different way - just let us leave why does it matter which checkout we walk past?! Will be going to team valley or wallsend from now on.

Much cheaper than Amazon, always great service. Once I didn't have a pound for the trolley, I was doing a big Christmas shop, and the girl from behind the counter lent me a quid to get one! Can't ask for more! Stuff Amazon and buy from somewhere that actually employs people and pays tax.

Click and collect is so quick! The staff are helpful and like with every Smyths the range of toys is amazing. The prices are either normal or cheaper than other places.

Took my 5yo to choose a toy. Price on shelf said £24.99. Went to the till and scanned at £43!! Staff rushes off and guess what when I went back to point it out there was no price tags at all... manager very uninterested and one upset chilled. Joke of a shop that has ZERO customer service skills. Would rather give my money to Amazon than support this 'local' business who clearly can't do proper service. AVOID!!!
