I've been going to John for well over a decade now and I know when I go to him that he's going to do an amazing job with my set ups and bring my crazy ideas on how to customise guitars to life. Could not recommend more highly.

I've been buying my guitars, strings, picks, straps and whatever else I need from John at Noise Works for years. Always perfectly set-up and competitively priced, whether new or second hand.John is a talented luthier and will complete first rate set-ups, adjustments, and repairs to both body and electronics of your instruments for affordable rates.Put simply, if you can get your beloved guitars to John, I'd put money on the fact he can sort them out. John at Noise Works is a man who KNOWS guitars, but more than that - he's a genuinely honest, helpful and trustworthy person. I take comfort in knowing that John's work will be of a high standard and that he will treat any guitar with care and respect. What more can you ask for?

Just visited today to get my guitar tuned.Got it done in seconds. The owner seemed like the kindest gentle soul and was really nice to chat to.Obviously the guard dog Nelson stole the show5/5 Would come there for a chat each day

As someone who has never picked up an instrument in their life and only recently started getting into bands, I was extremely happy with my visit to this store.I am writing this review just moments after leaving.John clearly knows his stuff and helped me to play first ever chord picking up an electric guitar for the first time ever.I definitely will be coming back soon to pick up my first guitar from this store!

Took my new baritone uke in today as I wasn't happy with it, was hard to fret, he picked up what was wrong straight away and about an hour later it was set up correctly, so much easier to play now, fantastic freindly service and at very reasonable price would highly recommend.

Great little shop, John knows absolutely everything there is to know about guitars.Great selection of gear, amps and accessories at good prices.A real" guitar shop where you can actually walk in an try a guitar rather than buying on line (although he does online sales as well!) just how it should be.John is the main man for repairs

First time to meet John what a wonderful surprise a friendly knowledgeable chap. He builds his own guitars, also will fit new strings to your guitar which is really useful as I can't string a guitar yet. If you're guitar needs a setup then John will do that too. He has a great knowledge of the anatomy and will try his best to guide you on your journey. I will go again as I had a great afternoon and hopefully found another guitar to add to my collection. The shop has new and second hand guitars, also amps to.Go and visit the shop it had great atmosphere it's not a huge commercial store however there's enough to get you started.I had to edit my review as I decided to buy a guitar from John. As I was filled with confidence after my visit I purchased a Simon & Patrick dreadnought guitar. John helped me with the setup I live about 60 miles away from the shop yet I believe you need more than a salesman when you buy a guitar.I found out that John will build you a boutique guitar if you require one do a man of many guitar talents.Thanks for your help and support today. Lastly but not least I must mention Nelson the guard dog, he's such a friendly dog

My Warwick Dolphin bass had never played so smooth after a full set up and some TLC to the electrics! Great service and quick turnaround, Will be using Noise Works for all work on my basses from now on

Had a Fender Strat that would go out of tune alot. The shop took it into for a service and new strings. Fixed the problem. Plus the strat now sounds far better than when I first brought it.Great servicing and repair, would go again
