The Space to Breathe Collective
Today I finally took my very first yoga class and chose The Space To Breathe Collective in Leicester based solely on the excellent,(unverified),reviews. Could it really be that good?Absolutely and some!I'm by no stretch your stereotypical yoga attendee, being a stiff 50ish rather grumpy male carpet fitter, but decided a new wholesome interest may be good for me,possibly help with my sometimes overwhelming anxiety and an opportunity to meet new people and at the very least have a good stretch.I was so nervous I didn't attend my first class.I texted my apologies to the lovely Geoff and he responded with encouraging and very funny texts and emails. As soon as I arrived today I was greeted by the equally lovely instructor Dave who knew my name, occupation and situation even though I hadn't had any previous contact with him.Dave's manner when teaching was informed, concise and encouraging to the point it felt like he was solely addressing me.The class itself was brilliant building up gradually. Admittedly due to my aches and pains I found it quite hard going at times but was assured by everyone it will get easier. After the class several of the group came over and introduced themselves and seemed genuinely interested in how I felt it went. The location itself is wonderful and everything you need is supplied.I'm so glad Geoff coaxed me into going as it was brilliant and I will definitely be going back. Wether you're a beginner or looking for somewhere new to practice this is THE place to go.Thank you Chaps,I'll see you again soon.Simon.8/10/23

The Space to Breathe Collective
The Space to Breathe is an amazing place, it is so much more than your typical yoga studio, it is incredibly welcoming and there are other community activities like hiking if you want to get involved.Upstairs they have a range of workshops, therapies and treatments - there's so many great things going on, definitely also check out those pages in the website. And as for the yoga there is such a range of classes, again something that will suit your preference, and always a relaxed friendly atmosphere. The prices are really good, and as a collective they are passionate about inclusivity, this really shows in their approach and pricing- including half price classes on Fridays. I highly recommend checking out The Space to Breathe!!

The Space to Breathe Collective
I was drawn to the space, in looking for new ways of creating more space for creative energies. Now 4 months developed into learning Yoga, can say that have been able to develop my inner space to the point that relaxation has become easier. Teachers are friendly and the space light and airy. Felt like I've learnt a lot too, thanks to everyone who has made it the space that it is.

Fantastic yoga lessons with great variety and a welcoming atmosphere for all levels of ability. Much more a collective to feel a part of rather than just 'transactional' yoga classes if that makes sense. Would thoroughly recommend... genuinely life-changing!

The Space to Breathe Collective
Over the years I’ve been fortunate to practice with some excellent yoga teachers and in fact one of them, Charlotte Walsh, first told me about The Space To Breathe, where she runs two classes a week. Then I noticed that Tess Lyons, another really wonderful and highly experienced teacher was also running classes, so of course I had to come. I took their classes, loved them and then wanted to try more so tried Georgina Smith’s Vinyasa class, knowing nothing about her teaching. Wow! It was also fantastic and challenging (in a good way!). That was it, I dumped my gym membership and signed up. Since then I have not looked back, my practice is slowly improving and there is just so much on offer here: I’ve been able to try different styles of yoga, from Bhavesh Ramji’s chilled soulful Sunday, to the gentler, peaceful morning classes of Freya Gibbs, to the full-on flow classes. There are daily yoga classes and special events: I experienced my first sound bath last week – thank you for the trip Karolina Kozera! There are complimentary therapy practitioners here too, personally I can highly recommend Ryan Torrance, (physio). As The Space To Breathe is a collective and run ethically, the pricing is very good however you choose to pay. It’s a really friendly vibe not a yoga fashion show – so don’t worry, there’s a real mix of people practicing and you will get great advice and guidance regardless of your level of ability. Based on my own experience, my opinion is that you will be in good safe hands whatever you choose.

The Space to Breathe Collective
Space to Breathe is not just a yoga studio. It is a kind, loving community of people who want to support each other in their life journey and soul growth. The yoga teachers are friendly and personable and Space to Breathe offers so much more besides yoga, like sound healing, therapy, hiking, meditation, nourishing workshops and connecting to nature sessions. If you’ve not been, when are you going?
