A first class god old fashioned traditional tavern, fantastic sociable atmosphere and a fantastic place to pop on for a quick drink and take the weight off your feet when out and about shopping in town.

A lovely, quirky town pub with 2 main bars + smaller rooms for a more intimate drink, excellent choice of ales and ciders, excellent friendly staff will be pleased to see you, day or night. An atmospheric and unusual pub well worth a visit. Always an excellent display of hanging baskets and planters during the Summer months.

Multi roomed masterpiece, small bar/snug, with many interconnecting rooms, wood panelling and quarry tiling. About 5 ales available on the bar.

Myself and my wife were in Shrewsbury for 4 nights and came here every day. Favourite pub in Shrewsbury. Great place to have a drink and always a character or two to get chatting to. No music, no food, just a good old fashioned pub where you can drink and chat.

Great traditional pub in Shrewsbury, survived as it would have been over 100 years ago, very friendly atmosphere and traditional ales, well worth a visit.

Been here a few times now, I love the old world feel and the random rooms to sit and have a drink in.It's pretty neat to sit in a pub thats been here for centuries, a cool bit of history. I also enjoyed seeing it recently on a haunted Britain series and this was way after the fact of visiting. The ghosts add to the atmosphere I think, a little extra company. The man behind the bar has always been nice when he's tended to us, can't say anything about other staff as I've never seen them lol. My favourite little spot to have an ale or a spot of gin in Shrewsbury. Nice place!
