Staff could not have done any more! Such wonderfully polite and helpful chaps. They offered my mum a chair while we waited for our trip. They went over and above. We were so very appreciative. Plus the river trip was excellent! Lol totally unexpected. Beautiful surroundings. Great value for money too. Thank you

Great 1 hour boat trip along a beautiful part of the Thames from Henley.

Took out a skiff rowing boat for the day to enjoy this great section of the Thames and to get some exercise at the same time. Really professional and friendly company, the whole experience was relaxed and hassle-free from start to finish. We’ll certainly be returning, and although more into row boats may have a go on a power boat some time.

I've been living in the area for almost 10 years and over this decade, I've used the services of HOH at least 20 times, if not more. I often rented boats from them for dates with the girls I brought to Henley. In most cases, they were small, low-speed boats (Shrimp, Scampi, etc...), but also the larger ones which can be rented for a Thames lunch with friends for 4-6 people. It's 2023 now... these are the same boats as 10 years ago, some are now rusting and show significant wear and tear. Fuel prices are roughly the same as before the war with Ukraine. However, what has changed are the prices. I understand inflation, but for a boat to go from £20 to £55, I believe that's sheer greed on the part of the business owners. The guys working there take cash in hand, renting boats to their mates for half the price. I realize that some tourists, unaware of the prices, might be willing to pay more, but this business model based on continuous price hikes won't take you far. The same boats in worse condition, the same fuel prices, yet the cost is more than double. NO THANK YOU. I won't be using the service again. Every year they raise the prices up. The smallest boat that they have available for a rental is worth maybe £ 200 in total worth mentioning a year ago price for a boat rental was £ 35 now £ 55 RIP OFF !

We had the most perfect 80th birthday celebration.The Hobbs team and crew were exceptional!The catering was outstanding we couldn’t have asked for more!!

Easy to find, lovely setting. I was a bit late to the party and missed the boat, literally. Senior moment. The guy was so accommodating. He let us take a motorised boat out which I thought was actually better than the trip I originally planned. Have fun. Bring all your water themed songs. We sang, and laughed and the ducks laughed back.

Had a party for 80 people, downstairs done lovely, velvet bench chairs, tablecloths, food exceptional but may have been outside supplier. Staff were helpful, professional, and looked the part. Upper deck a little more rustic but can't complain. Overall a great river boat, was also some parking put aside but a close carpark if needed.

My husband and I used Hobbs of Henley to organise our wedding meal on The New Orleans, their paddle steamer. From the moment we enquired about holding our event with Kerry, the entire experience was flawless. Kerry did a fantastic job of working with us to plan our event, pulling together all the finer details and making sure everything was thought out.Every member of the team that we came into contact with, both before the event and during, were nothing but friendly and helpful. Peter, who looked after our event on the day, was brilliant, and made sure everything ran to plan perfectly.The boat itself is stunning. We loved how grand it looked, and fell in love with it the moment we saw it. It easily accommodated our wedding of 50 people comfortably. We used their recommended caterer, Chris Burns Catering, and they were sensational too.During our 4-hour cruise, we enjoyed drinks on the top deck, followed by a 4-course meal, and then finished with some free time sailing and enjoying drinks for an hour at the end. Our guests loved the experience (as did we), and we had so many compliments saying that everything about the experience was fantastic.If you’re looking for a memorable venue for your event, they don’t get much better than The New Orleans, with Henley on Thames in the background. We found the team extremely helpful, the catering first class, and it was also fantastic value for money considering the location and quality. A big thanks to all the team at Hobbs of Henley for making our day one we will never forget!

Excellent. We hired a boat for the day (8 hours) and despite heavy traffic on the river - boats, swimmers, etc. we managed to (just about) get to Cookham lock and back.Boat was in good condition, staff were very friendly, and had a pretty up to date view on what distance was possible in current conditions.

The boats were easy to drive and were seemingly well maintained. The staff were friendly enough but could have been more instructive as to where the lifejackets and mooring spikes were stored. By and large, satisfactory.
