Not the best, when explaining issue they seem to brush it off and offer a regular tables anyone can get and by doing this patients not taken seriously. and it a big issue because a patient will have to book again and waste more time these type of events happens way too often and is horrendous. Must needed improve! Phone also rings and rings how can a person book appointment?!?!

I've lived near this surgery for five years and attended for the same amount of time. I have no complaints with an staff. One particular staff member Mrs Emily Reed has done all my injections especially my testosterone replacement therapy which normally hurts and leaves a itchy lump where the needle goes in due to going through muscle. Don't know how she does this but no injection done by this Nurse Practitioner hurts. Since covid I have had another nurse do his injection and she too does it without pain which is fantastic due to having multiple injections and IVs during my younger years. I will miss this surgery when I move.

Needed a tetnus booster jab as a nail had stuck in my calf from an old pallet. Managed to get appointment for 5.30. work let me leave 2hrs early so I expected to have to wait for a good while but when I turned up early the nurse did it right away. Very pleasant and helpful. Thankyou very much.

The Ask my GP online service is a huge step in the right direction for GP's although far from perfect, it's a huge time saver, just explain the problem via phone and just wait for a response later in the day, feels great. Also Keeps seclusion between you and your GP (Not explaining your problems to the receptionist)The biggest step to getting your problem sorted is just putting in a request, even if it takes a day or two for a response, just knowing the request is awaiting review is a good feeling, annoyingly however you can only put in a request when they are physically open which feels incredibly unnecessary but way worse than that is they are often too busy to even take new requests for an entire day and only take emergency calls, during these times you again need to wait until Tommorow and in opening times to even put your request through defeating most of the point of having an online service. You should just be able to put a request through 24/7 and just await a response via text, call or email.Otherwise would highly recommend them but the constant Emergency calls only is seriously concerning.

This is a very personal review, appertaining to one, Mrs Emily Reed, a Nurse Practioner, at the Derby Rd Practice.(10 months ago I reviewed the surgery 'as a whole', and was extremely negative in my dire lonely distress at that time. My wife and I were poorly treated when 'out of our depth', and suffering deep physical, and suffocating emotional anxiety).Mrs Reed is an absolute credit to this Practice. She has in the past dealt with overseas injections for us both, but as this Spring blossomed, so did she! Her handling of our special needs was superb, - caring, and immediate. This has continued since, as Spring has turned to Summer. Emily seems to be the only current medic within this particular Surgery, who quietly took quality time out, to talk to us, and fully understand us, as a couple; - when others seemed 'afraid of their own shadows' - and professional status. Would that every Surgery in Ipswich, - and beyond, had the skill set, and people skills of an 'Emily Reed'. Thank you, so much, Emily, for restoring our faith in Derby Rd Surgery.

I had a very negative phone consultation and was rescheduled for a face to face with Doctor David Chittick, he was so patient with me and I just wanted to say “If more people were like you the health care system will be exceptional.” Thank you!

Compassionate kind and caring staff. I suffer with anixety and my last two doctors surgeries were always so rude, avoided eye contact and treated most patients like an inconvenience. Derby Road staff talk to you like a person, they are discreet and helpful. I just wanted to say thank you, especially during the covid crisis they've all been great.

If I could give -1 star then I would I’m petty like this. However I’ve been deducted from the surgery due to me moving away to another ip address I’m now with a different surgery (on the waiting list actually) , BUT, one thing they failed to tell me is that whilst I’m being transferred I’ll be taken off my medication without any word , I got told today I’m no longer on my medication as from the 15th of may, I was never informed of this and I’m distraught to say the least, they don’t care about their patients new or old and they really need to sort it out, receptionists are rude as well, I cannot understand why they’ve taken me off of my medication? I’ve had to go to 111 for help as no one else will help me I feel so let down it’s unreal.
