South Essex Slings

I first met Deb at a breastfeeding support group where she was so helpful, approachable and knowledgeable. Her passion for baby wearing shines through when you speak to her. My husband and I tried various slings until we were comfortable and Deb supported us at our own pace, which as first time parents is invaluable. I’ve since hired and sling and had Deb fit my own. My baby doesn’t sleep in prams or cars so having a well fitting sling was essential for me to get out and about. He’s now 11 months and we still use it weekly for naps, walks, shopping, everything; Deb is a lifesaver. She’s always on hand to ask questions too as well and never makes you silly asking them.

Deborah was clear, concise and helpful in her approach to advising us on slings and carriers. She offered a number of options for baby wearing without being pushy. And was amazing with my 3 year old daughter throughout the hour we spent with her!

Excellent advice and service. Deborah has been helping me out with slings and carriers for the past few months. I tried several different options from the sling library and borrowed a couple to see how they felt for me and my one year old little boy (I found the standard Tula suited us best) all the carriers and slings I have tried have been in exceptional condition and very clean. Deborah is very knowledgeable and patient, I would highly recommend her for all your baby wearing needs!

After having a home consultation, I hired a sling which I felt comfortable wearing and that my baby fell asleep in easily - something I hadn't been able to manage with two slings that I had previously bought myself on the internet. Deborah was so helpful in fitting the sling and giving loads of tips on how to carry baby safely and that we are both happy with. Couldn't be more pleased, money very well spent. Deb came to our home to help us try a few different slings before we committed to buying one for our 6 week old baby.Given the price of some of the slings, I cannot recommend this service enough. Deb was fantastic, friendly and really knew her stuff. We were able to try the sling with our baby, to find the best one for us and she even showed me how to breastfeed in the stretchy wrap I had chosen. Deb made great recommendations on which brands to use and sent me useful links after the session. Me and baby are loving my hands free days :⁠-⁠)

Deborah was very helpful in helping me to find a sling which worked for me and baby. She was honest and open about each type of sling and put me under no pressure to choose anything there and then. She was also kind enough to go through some breastfeeding advice whilst she was there as baby was feeding at the time (not part of the service but Deborah runs the BRAS support group), which has really helped with my positioning.I would recommend anyone who is thinking of using a sling to book an appointment with Deborah as she was amazing!
