Amazing day out on our big adventure pass... everyone so friendly and alittke something for both my train and slide mad boys who are 1 and 4 years... we are excited to book an event next time because from our experience of a standard day they have to be fantastic!

Excellent location to visit. We've been twice for the Day out with Thomas event.Lots to do. Different Thomas themed trains to ride and a miniature railway. Donkey riding. Play area with a climbing frame for infants and one for older children plus swings etc. Listen to the Station Master read a Thomas themed story (based in one of the tents) . Small bouncy castles. Table top Thomas railway track for kids to play with in another one the tents while you take a break.Free parking on site and a short walk to gain entry. Staff are friendly. Plenty of places to eat. Picnic tables too at one end.Certainly excellent value for money. Highly recommended

Brilliant place to visit, despite it being a rainy day. Train rides were great, lovely cafe, staff and play areas for children of different ages. Will definitely be visiting again, our 2 year old granddaughter had a wonderful time.

Whistlestop Valley - Shelley Station
What a great idea making the Shelley Beach" for the summer at the end of the Kirklees Light Railway line. Great fun for little ones to play in the sand with buckets and spades plus toy windmills. There is also a bouncy castle and a giant snakes and ladders board and Connect 4. With a playground

Omg this place is amazing for your little ones. We went on a Thomas day and what fun we had. The playgrounds, go cart track etc are absolutely brilliant. Such friendly staff too.

Lovely day out with my 5 year old. Enjoyed the steam train ride, looking for dragons and gems and icecream. Fun in the parks at both stations and laughter by both of us on the bouncing pillows. A great day

The staff were very friendly and really helped to make our Santa Special experience, feel special. Our Son loved the train ride and running around in the snow (as the weather turned very cold)

Love it here. Lots for kids to do, all day play. Bouncy pillow, park, crazy golf, character days. Train rides. Lovely cafe. Gift shop.

This is where we stopped at the north pole" during Christmas from the main Whistlestop Valley station.It was very well decorated and set out fantastically. There was plenty to be getting on with before the ride back to the main station.The Santa that was there was absolutely fantastic and had an amazing knowledge of toys when the children were asking for them (e.g naming the Paw Patrol Characters)"

I loved this place! Me, my husband and train mad 3yr old went. We all had a great time. Good value for money, and food was reasonably priced. Would happily go again.
